Enchanted Cabin Hot Tub, Firepit, Grill & Zip Line
We really enjoyed staying at the cabin. The location was private, quiet, and felt safe. We loved the dog that visited; she was so sweet. Our kids loved the zip line and a place to make s’mores. I loved having the hot tub and the birds singing in the morning and evening. There are other cabins close by but we never saw or heard anyone. Just a 40min drive to Chattanooga. We really enjoyed our visit!

Walk to Downtown, New Kitchen, New Bath, Fast WIFI
We had a wonderful time in Mentone at Shannon’s place. Everything was top notch and comfortable. Beds were out of this world comfortable! Will stay here again.

Bud's Place. Romantic Getaway.
Our stay here was everything we hoped for and more. The house was spotless, comfortable, and private. Even though it was on a street in a residential neighborhood, this home is far enough down the driveway and surrounded by woods, so it felt like we were in our own little paradise. Best of all, access to local hiking trails and parks was just minutes away. If we ever make our way back to Fort Payne, we will certainly try to stay here again. It was an amazing weekend!

Cabin in the clouds
We loved our stay! We loved the view from the back porch, on a foggy morning the clouds were low so it totally felt like we were above the clouds and knew why it was called cloudland. We loved watching and listening to a thunderstorm from the screened in porch. The hottub, jacuzzi tub, and Sauna were such great amenities! We will be back !

Serenity at Little River Canyon
The cabin was beautiful and clean, the location was very quiet and relaxing. The scenery from the back porch was wonderful too. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking to unwind and relax.

L’Amour Rock-one of a kind stay on the edge
sometimes a girl needs a weekend to herself without any distractions or additional responsibilities & that’s exactly what Holly & L’Amour Rock provided for me! the cabin was exactly as described, the scenery was beautiful, & (my favorite part) the windows open! this cabin also has the most comfortable bed i’ve ever slept on! i cannot recommend enough!

Cloudland Homestead Organic Abode-Chickens, Garden
Would like to add that it was very easily to maneuver around with a blind and deaf dog loved waking up to hearing the rooster crowing and having fresh eggs. Just very friendly, very peaceful. Really enjoyed how close it was to family we were visiting.

Falling For You
Beautiful home! Perfect for a weekend with family and close friends. We loved that the home was walkable to the top of Desoto Falls but also only a short hike to the bottom view via trail. The loft and top rooms were magical and absolutely perfect for our tween kids and us parents loved the screened porch and outdoor firepit. Thank you for sharing your wonderful place with us. We also appreciated how clean it was and the basket of welcome snacks. Five stars!

Your guide to Mentone
All About Mentone
Once a popular health resort due to its mountain spring water, Mentone is nestled in the northeastern corner of Alabama, close to the state borders of Georgia and Tennessee. The small resort town is located 1,000 feet above the valley on top of Lookout Mountain, right on the doorstep of DeSoto State Park’s miles of hiking and biking trails and the impressive DeSoto Falls. The natural beauty of the park and its kayaking, fly fishing, and wildflower trail draw many visitors to cabins in Mentone. Fall’s changing foliage is a striking sight, with maples and poplars blazing a trail down the slope.
In town, there are antique stores, local arts and crafts shops, and galleries to browse, along with restaurants for refueling after a day of adventuring. The weekly summer farmers’ market showcases local, sustainably grown produce. You can even close out your day by watching the sunset in the cool mountain air from the great vantage point at nearby Brow Park.
The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Mentone
Fall is a great time to take a trip to Mentone, when a fiery carpet of reds and oranges descend the mountain. The annual Mentone Colorfest in October combines vendors selling handmade arts and crafts and food with live entertainment and more, all against the backdrop of sweeping views of the valley below Lookout Mountain. Winters don’t provide a lot of natural snowfall, but you can still go to Alabama’s only ski resort and show off your skills — or learn new ones — on the artificial slopes. The springtime offers plenty of mountain laurels in bloom, while summer hikers are rewarded with carpets of wildflowers that take over the mountain. The area’s annual Rhododendron Festival has been taking place every May for decades to celebrate the arrival of long summer days.

Mentone Arts and Cultural Center

The center also offers classes in creative arts like photography, ceramics, woodworking, and songwriting.
DeSoto State Park
Less than a 15-minute drive from Mentone sits DeSoto State Park, with its rushing waterfalls, woodland boardwalk trail, and zipline spread over more than 3,000 acres.
