The house was bigger than I was expecting, very clean and organized…. I really enjoyed the sunset 🌅 We definitely recommended…..

We could only stay one night, but I wish we had more time. I landed in the porch and spent all afternoon in to the evening there, and in the early morning. It was so peaceful looking out into the marsh. The place was adorable, everything we needed.

Second time and will be back next year.

This was a beautiful home and area. The only complains I have was the grass needed to be cut, there was no outside trash can, and inside there was no cleaning supplies or broom/mop.

Awesome place. The view is absolutely beautiful. Loved the river. The house is spacious, very comfortable beds. The soaker tub was very relaxing. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful.

The house was awesome with a private dock on the Sapelo River. This is a perfect location for 2 family's. It was exactly how Scott described it on his listing. Their were several great restaurants we ate at during our stay (Altman's for breakfast, The Fish Dock right around the corner, B and J's, Hunter's Cafe, Tabby House Brewing and several food trucks during the festival). The time we were in Townsend they had the Blessing of the Fleet in Darien which was awesome. So much to do and see in this area.

Hannah was very responsive and helpful. The place was clean and had everything needed. She made special accommodations for my situation for a reasonable additional fee.

Larisa’s Airbnb is the perfect getaway in the middle of everything - you’re in a centralized location within an hour of Savannah, Jekyll Island, St. Simons Island and so much more! The pool was a great treat to have in the backyard, and the house was super private. Plenty of space for people to relax and spread out. Will definitely be returning!

This place exceeded our expectations. It was clean. The property was perfectly situated and sized. The amenities were amazing. It allowed our family to have an actual vacation. We relaxed and had fun. Most everything was provided, from fishing equipment to firewood. We enjoyed the pool, the piers, the bikes... In short, we will be returning.

An absolutely beautiful setting in the marsh. Gorgeous 100 year-old oaks, Spanish moss, tons of birds, right on the marsh with creek access. Quick boat ride to the ICW and Sapelo Island from the property dock with gorgeous views. We stayed in the Dogtrot cottage and it was beautifully appointed, lots of amenities and the hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome with a charcuterie board, local honey, wine, and other local goodies. Perfect place to unwind with family and reconnect with nature. Only 10 min to Darien’s charming restaurants.

Great Stay. Beautiful Marsh View. House was perfect. Well stocked kitchen. Beds were amazing. The great room with fireplace was a perfect place to visit with family late into the evening. If i return to Darien I will be staying at Emma’s Farm.

My wife and two kids (8 male / 4 female) stayed for the weekend at the 'Rum Runners' Cabin. We were amazing by the beautiful, private retreat it provided. While the property does have 5 or so other cabins located on the property, they are spaced out by hundreds of feet. I actually found it a little comforting to know that there were some other people nearby. The cabin, while maintaining an incredible patina color of 100+ year old wood on the outside, was beautiful decorated with modern comforts with traditional designs. You are not 'ruffing it'. Furthermore, they did a fantastic job of providing so many of the odds and ends of a cabin trip many visitors may forget to bring. Everything from a fully-stocked s'mores pack with everything needed (including skewers!), sun-screen packets, fishing poles and tackle gear, etc. My family spent the days enjoying the property, fishing, camp fire and s'mores, and two days with NO TV!! We will certainly be back.

great place to stay

I had a wonderful stay in Darien, GA! The house was spotless and exceeded expectations in terms of cleanliness and comfort. The host was very responsive and available throughout the stay, which made everything even smoother. One of the highlights was the fully stocked snack and drink selection, along with an impressive coffee bar—such a thoughtful touch! I would absolutely recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting the area and would love to stay here again.

The cabin was absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. The beds were super comfortable also. The everchanging view from the patio was unexpected and was by far my favorite part of this place. We spent many hours out there reading, listening to the birds sing, watching the wildlife, and even a little napping. As described in the description of this cabin there are no restaurants or stores so be prepared. Getting to Nanny Goat beach and the lighthouse with the golf cart was easy and quite fun. Olivia and Anita were quick to respond to my inquiries. My only complaint about this place was there is supposed to be an onsite manager (Chris) to assist with things as needed. We texted and called him for 3 days with no response, used cell phones and house phone to try and reach him. We were wanting to rent a truck to go to Cabretta Beach and needed a replacement for the supplied beach umbrella which was broken. If you are looking to recharge and be quiet, this is your place. We will be back.

I thought we would be closer to the beach but after being on the island for four days I appreciated that there was no building near the beaches which I really loved about the island! Our site was perfect as you could hear the waves and watch wildlife nearby in the marsh and water (the "big hole" ). Highly recommend taking a tour with Chris (the site manager) as he has an appreciation for his home. Loved exploring the island with the golf cart! Highly recommend stopping at Alligator Pond for the alligators and birds. Loved walking to Cabretta beach from the church as we got to see alligators, raccoons, frogs, flounder being caught at the bridge, and countless birds (white pelicans, eagles, herons, egrets, woodpeckers, ). Highly recommend having dinners from Francine Bailey! Watch for the painted bunting when you are sitting on the porch. He doesn't sit still long but comes to the top of the bare branch in the backyard. An amazing paradise with an incredible history and community.

Great place and great host! The place is small but perfect for what I needed it for. zi felt safe in the area...the neighbors were nice. I really enjoyed spending time on the outdoor deck/ landing at the other house the property owner has. It was very peaceful! I would definitely stay again if I was in the area....

If you want to stay on Sapelo, this is the place to be. The added side by side is a must to really explore the island. A very fair price to pay for the beautiful home, near empty beaches and privacy that comes with it. The island feels surreal and rugged but the house has all the comforts of modern day living. 10/10 would highly recommend. The host was very communicative and informed us of everything we would need days prior to our expected arrival.

The cottage and grounds exceeded our expectations. The 3 level private dock blew us away! We wanted to fish and crab and very nice crab traps were provided. The setting was truly spectacular, quiet and private and the location was excellent. We were able to walk to downtown for dining and an eclectic boutique to shop for treasures to take home. We can say so much more but to say we fell in love is an understatement. We will definitely return!
