Our small self- contained bungalow is a very modest, spotless island style home. Located in Tautu village overlooking the lagoon, it is on the quiet windward (eastern) side of Aitutaki. Our place is peaceful, hospitable and has beautiful sunrise views. Transport is essential in Aitutaki. It is a short drive/ride to shops & cafes. Definitely the place for those looking for an authentic Aitutaki local living experience and especially those looking for a longer term stay.

Moemoea Rua is fully self contained with insect screens on all windows (except kitchen window) and the insect screen on the sliding door can be locked so you can leave the door open and enjoy the breeze. Best to get a taxi or transfer to Moemoea.

Our stay was perfect! From the very beginning, communication was excellent and they were incredibly kind. As soon as we arrived, they picked us up from the airport and even showed us some points of interest on the way to the house — such a thoughtful gesture. The house is great: very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It’s also in a perfect location, close to everything, which made it easy to get around and explore the area. We also did a tour with them during our stay and absolutely loved it — it was an authentic and well-organized experience. We definitely recommend this place and would stay here again without hesitation.

Felt at home from the beginning. Vaea picked us up from the airport, went grocery shopping together, showed us all there is to know in detail, sold us internet data, rented us a scooter so we could roam around freely. The bungalow is a little bit out of "town" so it was nice having wheels. Good dining around, we recommend Wokkai and having dinner at the Pacific resort. The beach was not exactly the best for swimming or snorkeling. We still spent a lot if time there. The neighbora cat visited us regularly, roosters were a nice wake up call. We had a blast!

Kia orana Mathilda was an incredible host. We felt at home from the moment we arrived. Mathilda shared fresh fruit and home cooking with us, and gave us a tour of her garden. Our 11 month old baby loved to watch the chickens, and roam the garden. The accomodation, was spotless and there were lots of thoughtful touches, such as fresh, local bread - a lovely surprise, when we arrived at the accomodation. I would highly recommend a stay at Petero's Place, and we hope to return one day!

Wow! I can’t say enough about how much I loved my stay here on Aitutaki. Ned and Greta not only picked and dropped me off at the airport but they gave me a great deal for a scooter rental. Ned gave me great local recommendations, arranging a lagoon tour for me to join. The place was clean and nice, a wonderful atmosphere. I met many lovely people also staying here (there are 6 rooms) and it really added value to my stay. I would recommend this place to anyone. Also they have free fresh local fruit daily in the communal kitchen! What a treat :) really good value for money here
