We had a lovely time at Luca's place. The house has everything you need for a great rest. You can observe the few animals that roam freely in the garden. The pool is a big plus in the heat of Sri Lanka. The house is incredibly clean and the people who work there are very nice. Nimesh will help you with any questions you may have, you can contact them anytime. He took us to exchange money, showed us where the best places to dine were and arranged all the excursions for us. He also took care of our trip and picked us up from the airport. Throughout, we were able to enjoy the wonderful dinners prepared by Nirosha including an excellent seafood barbecue. The house is in a very good location: only a short walk to the beach and all the restaurants/shops. Feel free to book your stay in this house, it's a real little paradise.

We had the most incredible stay with Ishu and her wonderful family! From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of the family—welcomed with open arms by Mum, Dad, Granddad, Grandma, and their lovely daughters. Traveling with a 1-year-old, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Our little one was so well cared for, and the kids played together like lifelong friends. The house itself was spacious with a big garden that made our stay even more special. It’s just a short 5-minute walk to the beach, and having Mama’s Café around the corner was a fantastic bonus for great local food. Ishu also speaks excellent English, which made communication effortless. On top of everything, they arranged airport transfer and helped us get around with ease—such a thoughtful touch that made our trip stress-free. If you’re looking for a warm, welcoming stay with a true home-away-from-home feeling, look no further. We can’t wait to return! Bohoma sthuthi :)

The place is great. bed is comfortable, kitchen well equipped and very well located. a few minutes walk to the main beach and 15 minutes to Secret Beach. Prabodi is incredibly kind and helpful, and very responsive. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a beautiful spacious property in a fabulous location with a sea view to die for. We were a little concerned as not many reviews, but this is often let as 2 homes together. Alexander was swift to respond and communicate this to us. Sam was always responsive and Dinesh was always on hand to look after us. The dogs are very friendly and absolutely no trouble at all. We already love this area in Sri Lanka, and loved it even more staying here.

Isuru was a vey polite and responsive hosts. Very willing to assist you with any issues you may come across! We had a lovely breakfast cooked by his mom :) also having an Aircon was absolutely amazing in this humidity! Thank you Isuru for your hospitality

Shamil was responsive and helpful. We were in a bit of situation to find last minute accommodation. Shamil was helpful to enable the check in at 10pm. This was a huge relief for us. A great host!

We were two families (8 persons) who stayed at Kristen’s house. There was plenty of space, big bedrooms and living area. A beautiful garden and a nice big pool. The outdoor kitchen had everything we needed and a nice place to chill out at. Kristel had a very friendly and good chef who prepared delicious breakfast in the mornings. He also prepared a great dinner one evening with everything we wished for. Kristel and Werner were very helpful when we needed their help. We would love to come back again. Thank you so much!

We really enjoyed it here. The communication before and during our stay was just perfect. Every question was answered directly and with very helpful advices. The villa is clean and spacious. The way up is a little bit difficult. But you will be right at a wonderful beach. And around the corner (10 minutes walk) you will find amazing restaurants. The kitchen was a little bit basic but okay. Some salt and herbs would have been nice. But everything else was just the way we hoped it would be. Thank you very much for everything! It was a great experience.

We had a fantastic 10-day break at this beautiful villa. The setting is amazing, overlooking the infinity of the Indian Ocean, with the calming sound of the crashing waves. The sea was too rough for a swim but the beach was perfect for a walk. The garden is lovely, the pool is a welcome escape from the heat and the house itself is spacious enough for everyone not to be in each other's way. We had so much fun during our stay - massages in the garden, wandering the neighbourhood and meeting the locals, visiting nearby beaches (Dickwella beach was our favourite, especially with young kids), safari, releasing baby turtles in the sea, boat trips, etc.... Last but certainly not least - the lovely staff. The hospitality offered by Suneetha, Ajith and Ari was truly special. They are all lovely and looked after us so well. Apart from the delicious food they prepared daily, they arranged our trips, transport, etc. It was hard to leave and tears were shed at the end. We'll be back, for sure!

Pavi, Bathi and their family and friends are the loveliest of people, always ready to help or offer advice when needed. Our apartment was situated on the 2nd floor and was lovely, bedroom and bathroom bare very large as is the kitchen diner, if there was anything you needed Pavi got it sorted asap, the grounds are immaculate and have a plethora of wildlife wandering the grounds, the use of the swimming pool was a great addition. Polhena itself is situated in a great spot for travelling out from and has a wonderful little beach(it does get busy at weekends). Shops are in walking distance as is the main town of Matara or a short fun tuk tuk ride. Colombo and other places are easily accessible via buses or train, both a fun way to travel. We will be back.

Great value for money, ideal for family stays.

It is a great villa. Is much better in real life than in photos. The location is amazing - right on the beach. You can see and hear ocean from the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was really amazed by the whole experience. I’d definitely go there again and probably for a longer period of time.

The accommodation was excellent, everything went smoothly and the people at check-in were super friendly. The house is really beautifully furnished and is in a great location. I would definitely book it again if I return.

This is not a luxury property but a wonderful typical Sri Lankan property. Close to a small beach with diving and snorkeling centres. Also Mirissa is only a short tuk tuk ride away with its larger beach and many restaurants. The host, Ranga, and his family did everything to make our stay wonderful. Thank you

5 min from the beach and up in the jungle, it’s the best place to stay if your looking for the calm. Breakfast and Yoga sessions were great. The staff very kind. I recommend 100%.

Lovely place in a great location. Slightly tricky to find for our driver but access is via another hotel entrance. There wasn’t any WiFi when we were there and in a bit of a signal black spot but still a great stay!

It was a pleasure to return home to such a nice house. One of the best I've stayed in.

Celine’s house was great for us. 6 persons (4 adults and 2 children 3 and 4 years old). + house exactly the same as on photos. + location is great. + almost private claim beach was good. + Christian and Indra are really great hosts. We had a wonderful stay at Sahan’s place - the location was perfect being a few minutes walk from Blue Beach on one side and Hiriketiya on the other with amazing restaurant/ seafood choices. Avisa was always on hand with great suggestions of what to do and he booked us lots of TukTuks and taxis, he was very helpful. He also served a great breakfast in the garden every morning. The only downside is that the living room part of the apartment became very hot, but the views to the sea from there were great.

The house is located in a quiet area not far from the nearby beach. It is very large with several bedrooms. Outside there is a large garden where you can relax or eat. The host who greeted us was very kind and helped us organize our tours on a lot of issues. He provided some valuable tips that were very useful to us, thank you very much. Although a large home needs some minor fixes. It wasn't clean and the kitchen was not well-maintained (leftover food in the fridge and outside). Overall, the house was very spacious and had everything we needed, although it was a pity that it was slightly neglected.

Wonderful stay and the property was amazing with access to the beach right outside the back gate. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Lovely & calm full apartment with AC, Hot water and mosquito net. The family hosting is lovely, but the apartment is kind of separate with even a rooftop access for smokers. For me, perfectly located away from the busy side of town and yet still close enough to go surfing within 5min by scooter to Hiri Beach. Price for quality wise one of the best apartments I stayed in. Would book again, no doubt.
