Beachfront vacation rentals in Matala beach

we had a lovely week at Maria's place. The covered terrace is the most beautiful room in the house with beautiful sea views. The beach is less than 5 minutes' walk, but beware, for people who have difficulty walking, the slope is rather steep to climb. Maria is very responsive and responds very quickly to messages. Agia Pelagia remains a small seaside resort in a great location for visiting the north of the island. Beautiful discovery

Extremely helpful and quick to respond. Spacious and very cozy house, apart from the lack of bidet and wall support for the shower, everything was perfect. From the terrace you can enjoy an exceptional view on the sea and sunset. The car parking is a little limited (if shared with other cars) and the photos that indicate the route x the house a little dated (Philomena is now green!) overall extraordinary vacation. Elena is a nice and accommodating hostess. We were able to contact her at any time, received feedback very quickly and she inquired about our well-being in the accommodation. The place is very clean, well equipped and you have your privacy. It looks exactly like the pictures. The property is very quiet. You need a car to do activities. We can only recommend the place and Elena as a host! ☺️

We loved our stay at Anastasio’s! The apartment was clean and just as the photos described. The location was beautiful, overlooking the water and within walkable distance to everything you could need. Anastasio and Fotis were extremely responsive and helpful, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. They even allowed us to check in early when we arrived to the city earlier than expected. Thanks for a great stay!

Super clean and cozy apartment. We felt very comfortable from start to finish. Our host Panagiotis was always friendly and reliable. Supermarkets, different restaurants and the beach were within walking distance and around the property you always found a (free) parking space. Clear recommendation for anyone who wants to travel to the beautiful Agia Galini 👍🏻

Had a great time here! Vasilis was very accommodating and the place came as expected. Clean, great views of the water, and centrally located to the shops and restaurants in town. Highly recommend!

Jeronimo is a really great host. Very, very friendly and helpful. We felt very comfortable and welcome right away. The accommodation is beautifully located above the small Soudabucht with magnificent views. Two recommended taverns are within walking distance. Jeronimo's bar is also great and not to be missed. We highly recommend the beautiful, simple but functional accommodation.

A spacious apartment, very nicely decorated, bright, with beautiful views, very well located, the sound of the sea lulled us at night. The beautiful terrace for breakfast or dinner. We had a parking space right next to the apartment, super practical. Konstantinos responded to us very quickly, very friendly A perfect week

Our stay at the villa was nothing short of incredible. The location was peaceful and serene—away from the busier tourist areas, it truly felt like our own private resort. The views were absolutely stunning, and every moment there felt like a dream. The house itself was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need, and the heated pool was a highlight—especially during the cooler evenings. It made it easy to enjoy every part of our stay, no matter the weather. George, our host, was fantastic. He was always just a message away, ready with helpful suggestions and warm hospitality. His attention to detail and genuine care made our stay even more special. We’re already dreaming about our return. Highly recommend!

Excellent experience - 5 stars across the board! If you're looking for a quiet exclusive place to stay, that offers all amenities for a great price - this is it. High quality furnishings, perfectly clean, super friendly and attentive host, amazing location just a few steps from the beach, basically no traffic - all you hear is the ambient sound of the sea, great restaurants close by,... the list goes on. We particularly enjoyed the location and the villa. all amenities were as described and new. The view was breathtaking and the villa offered plenty of privacy and tranquility despite the fact that there are three identical villas next to each other. Beach, restaurants and supermarket were within walking distance. So we didn't need a rental car. Place Agia Pelagia was also within walking distance. Is still a fairly traditional Greek fishing village but quite touristy. All in all, had a great stay where the host, albeit remotely and without personal contact, was always active online, responded quickly and proactively provided information.

We’ve spent an absolutely amazing holiday at Triopetra Luxury Villas! The villa is located perfectly for those who admire calm and secluded south Crete - privacy and peacefulness is top notch. Thanks to Evangelia our stay was fantastic!

What a fantastic experience we had during our stay at this beautiful villa in South Crete! Everything exceeded our expectations. From the moment of arrival, it was immediately noticeable how extremely neat and hygienic everything was. The villa was really sparkling clean and taken care of down to the last detail. Everything you can think of was there – from utensils to beach towels – which made us feel right at home and completely relax. The hospitality of the host was extraordinary. He was always available for questions, gave us great tips about the area and made sure we really lacked nothing. What a warm welcome and service! The location of the villa is also absolutely a plus: beautiful in a quiet area, with stunning views and yet close to the most beautiful beaches and charming villages. In short, we had a dream vacation. A special word of thanks to the host for the perfect welcome.

What a wonderful place! If you are stressed by work, in need of something peaceful, extremely beautiful and in harmony with the nature, this is the right place for you. Don't miss the opportunity to stay here, meeting the cute cats ( please feed them :), enjoy the surrondings and if you like to swim, the beach just 10 minutes walking distance is perfect for you. I swam 5 kilometers and enjoyed after that the beautiful bar and restaurant close to the house. RECOMMENDED!

The Hilltop Villas match the photos exactly. Modern facility, tip-top maintained. Very attentive hosts. Giannis and his mother Anna were very attentive and extremely helpful. We enjoyed staying with them very much!

Very spacious, modern apt with a beautiful balcony. The street noise below made it difficult to sit out and talk there, but the view of the ocean was very nice. Well appointed kitchen. Very clean and neat. Mihalis gave us a great recommendation for dinner nearby that was lovely. We had a nice stay here

Giorgio’s place was beautiful and well maintained. He was always very responsive (Ben when we locked ourselves out) and gave us recommendations for the local super market and an AMAZING place for dinner. The home was very comfortable with a beautiful sea view and had everything we needed.

I loved the tiny house, every millimetre, it’s across the road from the shepherds caravan and you are lightly woken by him calling the goats in the morning. Wonderful. The cliffs are covered with wild thyme and the scent mingles with the sea breeze bringing another sensory tweak to the exceptional surroundings. From the moment you cross the mountain peak you are greeted with a never to forget 180 degree view of the deep blue Libyen Sea, that literally is on your terrace of the property. There are two empty beaches at the foot of the cliffs, but two cafes and a slightly busier beach in the village if you prefer. It’s an unspoiled paradise, on Sunday you can hear the monks song and the bells echoing up from the village. We only spent three nights in Tris Eklieses, but it will remain with me forever as a really unique experience. Outside of peak season the village supermarket is closed the nearest one is about 1/2 an hours drive away, I envy the owners, it’s a very special place. THX4ALL.

We had a wonderful and relaxing vacation in Dimitri's apartment. The apartment is fantastically beautiful and tastefully decorated, with high-quality furniture and nothing is really missing. The terrace has a unique beautiful view of the sea and we spent many beautiful hours there. Dimitris is super friendly, always available and with helpful tips for excursions, restaurants, etc. he helped us a lot. He also arranged the transfer from the airport for us and it worked out just fine. The location of the apartment is also perfect. Supermarket and restaurants are within walking distance and the bus station is just across the street. We highly recommend the apartment, for us the most beautiful so far and we will be happy to think back to the time and come back soon.

Niki and Cristos were really lovely and friendly hosts. Fresh flowers, homemade biscuits and cake, wine etc were provided and left in the apartment. The apartment was bright and clean. They treated us as family and really made us feel at home. Surrounded by the most amazing mountains. Beautiful people on beautiful Bali. What more could you ask for? Eif charisto! We were received very nicely and hospitably, the apartment was shown, fruit and drinks were provided. The hostess always responded very quickly to questions and we felt very comfortable in the sparkling clean apartment, which was very well equipped. On foot it was about 100 meters to the sandy beach by the very beautiful sea. In addition, very good restaurants were within walking distance in approx. 5 minutes. A successful vacation and always recommended!

Perfect beachfront location- so close you sleep and awake to ocean sounds. Well situated between Matala and Reythmos, plus easy by car to get to archeological sites before the crowds. Perfect weather even in November!
