In 10 steps, you are on the sandy beach for swimming, sunbathing and (kite)surfing. Walk along the bird breeding area, cycle in the area, golf in Westwoud or explore VOC harbor towns Hoorn and Enkhuizen. Bus stop and parking in front of the door. 30 minutes from Amsterdam. Cozy restaurant 100 m away. We arrange breakfast on the 1st day!

Description Bed and breakfast In a Glasshouse is located in Oostwoud, in the heart of Westfriesland. It is a cottage-style home located behind our glass studio, in the deep waterfront garden. It can be rented as a B&B but also as a vacation home for a longer period. There is, among other things, a Grand Cafe De Post around the corner where you can eat delicious food and a pizza eatery Giovanni Midwoud that also delivers. A motorboat is available for a fee. Our floating chalet has a lot of glassware so that you retain the unobstructed view. You are close to Amsterdam, Volendam and Monnickendam. At the hart of Old-Holland lays Edam. Enjoy our appartement, right in the historic Town Center, direct at the cheese market. A direct bus connection brings you 24/7 at a high frequency to the Amsterdam Central station in 30 minutes to vist the town till late. Bicycles for rent available at the house, for a trip trough the country side of Holland. Visit the old fishermans villages Volendam and Marken. At the end of the day return to Edam and enjoy the local restaurants and your appartement

On the second floor of a rebuilt traditional Waterland house is this beautifully renovated apartment, once used as a hayloft. Located in the protected natural area of the Zeevang polder land (EU Natura 2000), famous for its birds like godwits, spoonbills, and lapwings. The view it offers is among the most beautiful in the Netherlands. Middelie is very near Amsterdam (25 km). Other historical places like Edam, Volendam, Marken, Hoorn, and Alkmaar are never far away (5–30 min. by car).

The B&B is located in Blokker: a small village in the province of Noord-Holland, located near the historic port cities of Hoorn and Enkhuizen. Het staat op een kleinschalig recreatiepark, waar wij ook een ander huisje hebben onder de naam Familie Buitenhuys. Je slaapt in een volledig huisje met vloerverwarming en alle comfort. In de master bedroom staat een bad bij het raam, met uitzicht over de weilanden. Vanuit het bad zie je Nederland in zijn puurste vorm. Licht, eigenzinnig en speels ingedeeld.
