Beachfront vacation rentals in Maio

Ive spend a week at Casa evora and it was a delightful moment. I will truly recommand this place to the people who will come in Maio for the first time. Also I suggest you to learn a bit Portuguese so you can communicate with the staff.

I very much enjoyed my stay at Alessandro’s place. He and his wife were very welcoming, the house is beautiful and perfectly located. Alessandro was always helpful and kind and would happily answer questions, give recommendations and let me feel at home. Unfortunately, I could not communicate much with his wife because I don’t speak her languages. But she was patient with me when I tried to talk to her and was very kind, too. She is a great cook and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner with them. I highly recommend this place and highly recommend having at least (!!) one meal with them :) I am already thinking about coming back because I only got to spend 3 nights there.

Dominique and his staff were very nice, the place was great, like described in the add. The breakfast was delicious. Close to many beaches by foot. It's at a walking distance from the port if you don'thave many luggage. I would recommend it for sure.

Such a beautiful home! Incredible space, amazing value. Right on the water and within walking distance of the port. Love the roof terazza, wonderful housekeeper Nonna, so peaceful. Fall asleep to the sounds of the waves and wake up to the beach.

This place was the best choice for my short trip to Maio. The suite was absolutely beautiful and it was way better than the pictures. The staff made me feel very welcome from the get go. Also a huge thank you to Dominique for always been responsive promptly. I will most definitely be returning to the island to stay longer and the suite will again be a choice of mine.

We had a great time in this beautiful and conveniently located home! The rooms are great, with amazing views of the beach and ocean. The calm is really appreciated, both during the day and in the evening — even with a local music background sometimes, the atmosphere is always pleasant. There are many shops within walking distance and several activities nearby, like a great tour of the island by quad bike. Nani was exceptional throughout the stay, very welcoming and always available, and Dominique was incredibly responsive, I had never seen such responsiveness on Airbnb before! Again, thank you for this beautiful experience.

Villa Maris is such a special place! I spent almost one month here, and loved every single day. The free daily breakfast is really good, and gives you an opportunity to meet other guests. Helena was extremely kind and helpful, and made sure that I had everything that I needed to make my stay as pleasurable as possible. The beach is right there - literally you go to sleep at night listening to the sounds of the ocean - and is large, beautiful, and private (meaning you practically have it all to yourself). Also, the property is extremely clean, well-maintained, and secure - at no point did I ever worry about my personal safety. Highly recommended!

Everything needed was available, for us as in paradise Super nice sea, but not for swimming, cooling off;-)) Claudio and his staff are very friendly and helpful. Thank you! We will be back.

We spent a week here and it was excellent. The house is basic but comfy. The property is very calm and since the studio is on a side path, not many people walk in front. The pool and it's view on the ocean and sunset is just breathtaking. The beach down a few stairs is super nice and easy sandy access to swim. When snorkeling you can spot some very nice fish and rock formation. The property is minutes away from the center, shops and food places. Make sure to try "Cha-cha Chicken" (location on G.maps, just 1 minute walk) and the tuna (atum) at the restaurant on the Fort José. The welcoming was great, the staff is very friendly. There was no welcome basket for us at arrival but it is not important. We got picked up at the port by someone with a Stella Maris sign (which is the name of the property). Pick up was fast and no issues there. Overall very nice stay and would recommend to anyone looking for peace, great swimming experiences and easy access to town.

Stella Maris is a very well maintained conduminium. Many plants and flowers and well kept grounds. Our villa Atùn was on a corner with a nice terrace with sea views and very close to the pool. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

So beautiful. The pool is mega! Very central, a mini market next door. We stayed for a week and had endured it longer. ❤️ Communication online was not optimal on site, but everything worked wonderfully. Thank you for everything

I recommend this place to all future visitors, sea view, nice locations, property, free Wi-Fi, saltwater pool, shop 2 minutes walk away,great place to rest.

During the booking process I found communication was difficult! But we had a nice stay at Stella Maris. The shuttle service was perfect. The apartment was clean, the wifi was not good but we got a new router and there was hot water in the shower. A nice terrace to sit outside. The location is perfect, as is the swimming pool and the nearby beach. A 10-minute walk takes you to the city beach and the main street. The promised refreshment was not there and the tip to put down a kettle. The staff was very friendly and involved, speaking some English would be useful. All in all, we had enjoyed our stay!

Amazing. Very nice house, magnificent view, the pool is splendid and the private beach at the foot of the house is absolutely wonderful - 10 minutes' walk from the village beach - very friendly with its small bars - and 15 minutes from the sublime wild beach of Preta - the hospitality is very well managed - The team helped us get ferry tickets - an ideal place to rest in the sweetness of Maio Island.

Amazing! If you don’t stay here, you are missing out on a fantastic experience. Chris and Mona are incredible. such kind, generous and welcoming people. The meals they served us were so fresh and tasty, there are also lots of fun activities like snorkelling and fishing available here. We had a lovely time and will definitely be back again! Thank you Chris and Mona for everything.

Andrea's place is very well located as it is a few 100m to the nearest supermarket as well as to the city beach a good quarter of an hour walk. The house has been lovingly built, the garden very green. Under the tree you can relax wonderfully in the shade. The barbecue invites you to fry fish and vegetables in the evening. The communication with Andrea went smoothly, there were very good tips and an answer to all questions. Clear recommendation!

Patricia and her husband offer a magnificent house with the most beautiful view! The apartment offered everything we needed - a pool, quiet rooms, a well equipped kitchen and an outdoor BBQ and all support we could think of of Patricia and her staff. All in all: we had a wonderful stay in Maio, it is really an island to calm down, enjoy nature, sun and the sea. Thanks a lot!

VERY NICE HOUSE!! FERDINAND was an amazing host - but does not live in Cabo Verde. Beautiful views from the house and terrace .. Very tastefully decorated ... BUT ... the Airbnb photo is misleading. there is NO beach in front of the house. Also no bottled water when arrive. the shower needs a LOT of improvement.

This is a lovely house, with a large living room, a fully stocked kitchen, a veranda, overlooking the ocean. The house is very quiet, cozy, the pool is literally behind the neighboring house. From the pool you can walk down to the small beach. Big great beaches within a 10 minute walk. Nearby there are several shops, with a good assortment of products. And most importantly: we saw whales right from the veranda of our house, it's incredible!
