A very homely and welcoming B&B right on the sea front. Thank you Connie for all the local advice, warm welcome and quick responses. Very convenient for a short stay near the airport. As a solo traveller felt very safe. Would also recommend doing the long beach walk along Point d’esny!

Beautiful quiet villa with garden typical of the island in a pretty residence with caretaker, pool and tennis. The hosts provide everything for the stay, the amenities and the bathroom are excellent. Excellent value for money because villa + internet+pool+housekeeper 30/20 in Brenda who welcomed us with a smile and conviviality and who cooks good Indian and Mauritian dishes perfectly. We'll be happy to go back!

The accommodation in the Dodolalodge was very nice and corresponds to the description and the photos. Christian is a great and friendly host who is always available with advice and support. Also a car rental was possible without any problems. The lodge is quietly located in a side street, to the beautiful beach and some restaurants it is a 5-10 minutes walk. There is also a supermarket nearby.

Connie and Peary are very kind, accommodating hosts. You feel right at home with them, and their warm nature leaves nothing to be desired. You can hardly sleep any closer to the sea than here. The rooms were super clean. Perfect for the first nights after the long journey. Breathtaking view of the sea. The breakfast is small but has everything you need and is prepared with a lot of love. We would love to come back to the two of them any time.

My other planned stays in Mauritius were at large resorts and I was apprehensive that I may not be comfortable or engaged at this cozy spot. However, deciding to stay at The Good Life was a fantastic decision and led to some of the most memorable experiences I had on my (solo) trip. Antoine and his wife were warm and welcoming; he provided me with numerous resources, information and assistance. Above and beyond. My sole minor complaint was the unavailability of air-con during the (hot, humid) days. I appreciate the effort to be eco-friendly, but if you intend to spend time in the room, this is something to consider. That said, both the breakfast area and bungalows are cheery, bright, modern and spotless. The pool and gardens are magical - an absolute oasis. There are numerous thoughtful touches in the design of the rooms, delicious, fresh meals, solicitous service (thank you, Cavita!) and whatever detergent they use smells INCREDIBLE. Well, we can only agree with the other guests, we were thrilled with the accommodation, the hospitality and the warmth of the two! A small setting of well hidden nature with lush vegetation and beautiful frangipani trees in bloom! Very professional and friendly staff and john felt at home. I would highly recommend it!

At the top, after a second stay Under the Badamier, we can only recommend this hotel! A attentive, welcoming team, full of good places to visit! The room is clean and cleaned every day! The hearty and varied breakfast!

We felt very comfortable. Kevin and his family welcomed us directly in a friendly way and explained everything to us. They gave us a lot of tips on where to eat or what activities there are. The room was very clean and know everything.

Friendly and comfortable. Run by sisters who were lovely. We had the top floor flat (room 7) with living room, kitchen and two bedrooms. Lovely balcony with glimpses of the sea. African coastal vibe. Good breakfast and secure car parking. The fish barbeque restaurant directly opposite was superb. Palmer beach which is 5 minutes drive away is worth it.

Nice place and location

Great stay! Breakfast provided was very nice, always different and tasty. Hosts were very helpful with finding the place with our taxi driver. Great beach within 10 minutes walk at times we were the only people on the beach. Room was cosy and clean, bed comfy and AC brilliant. Every few days towels were changed which is great! The bathroom was big and shower great! Outdoor area was always clean. Pool was nice and clean but didn’t use. With your room you get a fridge which is great. We sat outside in the garden for a couple of nights, Parmeet put some music on and fairy lights which was awesome. Great place to stay!
