The Thunderbird Tiny House

The Thunderbird tiny house is located on the Thunderbird Ranch about 13 miles west of Mountainair, New Mexico. We are surrounded by the Cibola National Forest on all four sides. The property is owned by the Wester's and has been in their family for almost a hundred years. We also have other vacation homes for rent so if you want to bring another family we can accommodate that. Shekinah Hermitage is at 8000ft. overlooking the Cibola N. F. This unique cabin looks into a canyon to the north, and eastward over the San Agustin Plains. Surrounded by juniper and pinion trees, it is very remote. Windows all around give the feel of being outdoors but the solid structure is immovable in high winds. Inside is all you need including limited solar-battery 120V electricity. There is an attached bathroom with a sawdust composting toilet. Outside a high deck offers stunning views.

Quiet and Beautiful Country Living. Wi-Fi throughout the Cabin. Smells & noises of country life. Doorway into the bedrooms is under 6'. Bedroom ceilings are under 7'. You have to walk through the smaller bedroom to get to the larger one. Accordion door between the 2 bedrooms for privacy. You can hear the coyotes and occasional dogs barking at night. You are welcome to wander the property. We also have ducks and chickens. We always have fresh eggs to share.
