The Thunderbird tiny house is located on the Thunderbird Ranch about 13 miles west of Mountainair, New Mexico. We are surrounded by the Cibola National Forest on all four sides. The property is owned by the Wester's and has been in their family for almost a hundred years. We also have other vacation homes for rent so if you want to bring another family we can accommodate that. The Yurt is an extraordinary refuge from the frenzy of the city. Securely set high (7600ft) among mountains, the views stretch out in all directions backing up to the Cibola National Forest. Elk, deer, coyotes, and many birds share their land with us. The dark night sky is breathtaking. The yurt is off-the-grid lit by soft oil lamps after sunset. We also laid a seven-circuit labyrinth for meditative walking. A hot tub is available up at the house. You are welcome to this place of peace.

Quiet and Beautiful Country Living. Wi-Fi throughout the Cabin. Smells & noises of country life. Doorway into the bedrooms is under 6'. Bedroom ceilings are under 7'. You have to walk through the smaller bedroom to get to the larger one. Accordion door between the 2 bedrooms for privacy. You can hear the coyotes and occasional dogs barking at night. You are welcome to wander the property. We also have ducks and chickens. We always have fresh eggs to share.
