Chiangmai Gem: Staycation on Cloud with Bathtub

SamuelRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Beautiful location, high quality rooms and idyllic climate high up in the hills. Only issue is getting transport to other places because of how remote it is.

Chiangmai Gem: Uphill Cabin near Local Village

MattRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Some reviews of this place complained about the long (20 min) road up the mountain to access the location. I disagree with these people. I think the road leading up to the airbnb is absolutely stunning, well maintained, and was honestly one of the best parts of the experience. Riding up and down that road everyday with those incredible jungle and mountain views was great. It is paved all the way, with only minor pot holes - so you can definitely do it with a scooter. I'd recommend 150cc or more because parts are quite steep. The airbnb itself in located on a resort-like place with many buildings. The rooms were spotless. Obviously, communication was a little bit of an issue - but I would not expect people in Thailand to speak English, as we are visitors in their country. The staff were great and we always managed to find a way to communicate. They took good care of us. When I came, during April, it place was basically empty, which was nice. Burning season" is low season I guess.

Friendly and wonderful people, always willing to accommodate. Great food as well. The setting was even more beautiful and serene than expected, and well worth the long drive from the main road, just make sure you have your own transportation. We stayed here 2 nights and they cooked several meals for us, just pay a little bit extra. Awesome waterfall hike that you can start from the cabin. We were in town for the Shambhala festival and it was a bit far to drive, but overall satisfied with our choice and would do it again 100%

Cozy Cabin w/ Breathtaking View! B

BizzieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I haven't yet had the chance to stay at this listing, but I wanted to leave a review to express my deep appreciation for the people behind it! I unexpectedly had to cancel my 2 month trip mere days before I was supposed to be there, as my mom fell ill and I needed to stay home with her. AMai, Kompit, and Konstantin all showed me such kindness when I told them the news, and worked with me to delay my trip rather than lose almost one months worth of money even though for them it meant losing out on money as bookings had not been made for the upcoming time...cannot say enough good about these people- they are literal angels! Thank you so much and I cannot wait to stay with you guys!

Pang Ma-O rice terrace

It’s hard to describe the peace and hospitality you feel from this place. Maan and his family, even his village are so kind and helpful to help us travel through this region. This stay is rural- We were in the back of several trucks to find it, and amenities are few, but dinner and breakfast is served to the cabin after walking the fields and waking up to coffee and breakfast where he welcomed MANY curious questions from two Americans. Even in the off season, there were many birds livestock, and green plants - being able to eat the rice from the location of the farmers family is truly a blessing. Beautiful, authentic, nourishing stay. Thank you for sharing your space.
