The space
Like formations of coral in a bay, Reef House spreads out across the hillside overlooking Oil Nut Bay for a tranquil, truly private Caribbean retreat. The luxury Virgin Gorda vacation rental has well-appointed outdoor living spaces, a main house with common living areas and three stand-alone bedroom suites, making it easy to gather with family and friends or spend time alone with the expanse of turquoise water that stretches out in front of you.
The villa opens to an expansive terrace that makes it feel as though the ocean is at your feet. Warm up in the sun on one of the lounge chairs or cool off in the infinity pool. At one end of the terrace is a shaded pavilion with a sitting area perfect for reading or chatting over drinks; at the other is a twin pavilion with a dining area where you can serve local seafood fresh from the barbecue. Guests can also take the villa’s golf cart to the shared Oil Nut Bay community pools, fitness center and spa, tennis courts, nature center and kids’ club. Enjoy an evening out at the restaurant and bar, bring your craft to the marina or helipad, borrow watersports equipment or sign up for a land activity.
A vaulted ceiling, wall of windows and sliding doors, and polished stone floors make the great room at Reef House feel like an airy extension of the terrace. Sleek white sofas and chairs face the bay, and a chic Lucite coffee table makes a style statement without interrupting the views. A white table and chairs in the dining area are equally chic and minimalist, and in the bright, fully equipped galley kitchen, state-of-the-art appliances compete with the ocean view for best feature.
Stand-alone bedrooms make it easy to relive your honeymoon at this villa or travel with a group and still enjoy privacy. Each of the three bedroom pavilions at Reef House has a king bed and en-suite bathroom, and faces the water. They also have terraces with loungers, so you can start each day by stepping outside to see the bay or fall asleep listening to the sound of the waves, and outdoor showers where you can rinse off after a swim in the pool or a trip to the beach.
Start your Caribbean holiday with a flight to Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport, a 45-minute ferry ride or 10-minute helicopter trip from Reef House. Another option is Virgin Gorda Airport, a 20-minute taxi ride plus a 15-minute ferry ride away. Once you’ve arrived at the villa, you’re just an 8-minute drive from Oil Nut Bay Beach as well as Oil Nut Bay Resort and its amenities.
