The Bustle of the Cabin

A place to explore, I can't say that it is quiet, since it is surrounded by wood factories, and the cabin is in a community where the children are full visitors from tourists, they are very curious, behind the cabin there is a friendly church that works at night and they sing, dance and shout doing their rituals, sometimes you can sleep(two years ago the place was quiet), however the place has a view of the Lagoon but the view is hindered by boats.

A truly magical place, full of life and nature. It's an experience as it's going a little into the jungle going down some stone stairs and has nothing around except for a small cabin. It is perfect to disconnect from the world, live a jungle experience and to connect fully with nature. It has a river about 30 meters away that you can hear from the bed and where you can bathe. To be in the jungle, it's great and I slept great here. I hope to be back soon and stay longer.

The little cabin is very rustic. This is really in the middle of the jungle far from Iquitos. You can either drop off a bit outside with the motor cart (~20 soles/person) and then walk there. Without a guide, it will be quite difficult to find the cabin. A friend of Charles took us there. Another option would be the waterway. There you could get (10 soles/ person) from the harbor (north of Iquitos at the foot of the bridge) to the nearest village (close to the hut). It's a little straightforward. It is important to get in touch and get there in time, as it takes at least 1.5-2 hours from the center of Iquitos to get there no matter which way. Very secluded but also very idyllic! A little gem for adventurers but not for everyone. You have to want something like that;) Cooking facilities are available in another cabin, a 5-minute walk away. Smaller shopping is available on foot. :)

Olga's property was absolutely gorgeous! The grounds at Awaken are so beautiful and put together so nicely. There is an astounding tranquility that you receive as soon as you walk across the bridge to get to the resort. The journey to get in is quite the trek, but it is such a sense of satisfaction to get so deep into the heart of the jungle. The natural feel of the villa is beyond measure, this place gave me everything that my soul needed to bring in the New Year. Oh my dear and the FOOD!!! The food is amazing, some of the best i had in the area. Thank you to everyone at Awaken! Feliz año nuevo 💛

Beautiful house! Super manicured, the spectacular room, there is washing machine and it is close to the village where you can eat and also have good conversation with local people. We were with Juanita who can tell you a lot of things and she is super nice and friendly! He put the pool for us and was always vigilant in case we needed paper, shampoo or anything else! We invited traditional food and we had good conversations. Super recommended this place has several green spots and you can see horses. I would totally come back!
