We had an awesome stay — it is a beautiful home, very clean, with everything you need for the stay. It is a beautiful private location on a lake, very peaceful and relaxing. Danny and Lynn were super responsive to all my messages, and everything was as stated in the listing. Highly recommend!

The place was wonderful and well equipped. It was in beautiful condition and there so many convenience items available. It felt fresh and comfortable. We enjoyed walking to the beach, the hot tub and the fire pit area. A great spot to unwind.

Great spot to stay! Super close to both Summerville and Carters Beach. Very clean and comfortable place. We wish we could’ve made use of the fire pit/hot tub as it was lovely, it poured rain during our whole weekend stay. Would love to return to this same location for a future stay.

Really great attentive host and responded quickly if anything was needed. Accommodated late check out and early check in as well, which is rare these days!

We stayed at Shobac Farm with our three-year-old toddler and dog, and it was unforgettable. The property perfectly balances modern luxury with cozy, down-to-earth warmth. It's a hidden gem tucked in a stunning, remote spot. The architecture is breathtaking, and the pool, sauna, hot tubs, beaches, fire pit, and sunken dining area make it even more special. Waking up to ocean views and falling asleep to the sound of waves was magical. The historic schoolhouse is fully equipped with everything you could need to feel at home yet completely relaxed. Nearby coffee shops and stores are welcoming and convenient. As amazing as everything was, nothing beat the two beautiful Highland cows—seeing them was a bucket list moment! Our toddler loved exploring, and we felt completely at ease with both a young child and a dog. We can’t wait to come back—every season, again and again. Thank you, Shobac Farm, for such incredible memories!

What a picturesque, quiet, beautiful place. Walking the beach, watching the tides come and go from the oceanside, being entertained by all the birds as we sat on the deck in the sun--all was entrancing. Great place with an outstanding hosts. Instructions were simple and clear. View of the water is beautiful with lots of wildlife in the area. Plenty to do or not to do if you choose.

Nancy and Darren’s place was a slice of paradise. Our 2 big dogs, my husband and myself loved our time at the Red Door Barn. We started our mornings at Louis Head beach, located a short 5 minutes car ride. We had the beach for ourselves and our dogs loved playing fetch on the beautiful stretch of sand. The Red Door Barn is impeccable and Nancy thought of every little detail. It’s beautifully decorated. Extremely clean. And just perfect. We loved the extra dog friendly touches such as the doggie treats, the water bowl, the blankets and the big basket near the door full of little surprises. The kitchen is fully equipped. We cooked Lobster from the Wharf several times during our 12 nights stay. I highly recommend staying at The Red Door Barn. We can’t wait to come back.

We had a fantastic stay. Randy’s place had everything we needed and was exactly as described. The property was lovely and well kept, and there was a large, relatively private beach only a short walk from the house. Randy was a very responsive and attentive host, answered questions quickly and even left a little treat for our pup which she appreciated! We will definitely be back again!

Absolutely beautiful! We spent most of our time in Yarmouth, but if we came again, we would plan more time at the cottage. It’s clean, and quiet and just perfect for our family.

We were encountered by a family of deer crossing the road on our arrival so this place is magical ! If you want to stay in the woods but have everything you need, this is the place for you ! The home is big yet cozy, and the kitchen is great for cooking. A nespresso machine and foamer were perfect for the espresso lover. Patio really nice, lots of space for our little dog to run around and only a 9 min drive from Lunenburg which is a charming little UNESCO heritage site of a town.

We came for a week to do a bit of business and a lot of R&R. The home was clean, well furnished and with comfortable beds. Great launch point for day trips and cozy place to wind down in the evenings. Amanda offered clear instructions for getting to and into the house, local requirements for household waste and recycling and was very responsive to texts. Would definitely recommend! I had an amazing time at Joe and Jeff's place, as always. The view is beautiful, the place is cozy and super clean. They are incredibly responsive and helpful hosts. For many years now I have been going to the cottage for a quiet week away, and every time it is a wonderful experience. I can't rate the cottage highly enough, and Joe and Jeff are exceptional hosts.
