An awesome rustic bush experience surrounded by game and many, many bird species. Service was outstanding! Our host, Monica, went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Definitely would like to go back.

Maggie’s place is a little piece of paradise. The views are amazing and the cabin is stocked with everything you need with the plus of a relaxing hot tub. Will definitely book again and spend more time!

Beautiful place to stay. Private and peaceful. Amazing to watch the animals whilst having your morning coffee. Didn’t use the fire pit but I’m sure it would make for a wonderful evening sipping wine and watching the sunset.

Had an amazing stay in Old Mill no. 5. Such a peaceful stay, in a beautiful, well kept cabin. The views were absolutely amazing, listening to beautiful sounds of nature and a view of the lake. Just what the doctor ordered!!!

This property is an absolute gem! We arrived in thick mist which made it slightly tricky to see all the signs, but we found the chalet without too much stress. Gavin’s instructions on where to find keys were perfect and it was easy to get inside. This venue is also fully prepared for load shedding which was a treat, gas burner and battery powered lights if they are needed. It is also so convenient to have wood, charcoal and firelighters available for purchase at the venue. We loved waking up to the pristine reflective views of the misty lake, and it was a treat to have the forest walk to stroll through. The bird life around the lake was also great. And to top it off there is a lovely coffee shop a walkable distance away. This property really has everything you could ask for. Thanks for a great weekend for my mom and I!

We loved it at Highland Run Lodge. Peaceful and beautiful surroundings. The house is so homely and has everything you need for your stay. Thandi was a great help. Loved the Spekboom river and trout fishing was good.

Serene and beautiful escape from the city and town. Ideal for just relaxing with a good book and resetting. Lovely nature and birds all around. Walking trial with the river only a couple of meters walk from the cabin. The road is a bit rough and the road works to get to the destination is a bit of a pain. I am sure once the road is fixed it will be an easy and smooth drive though.

Camilla was such an attentive host even prior to check in. The Airbnb itself is well located, very scenic, quiet and honestly looked way better than the images. You may get lucky and see a few antelope and birds. Perfect for a break from the city noise.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. There is so much to do on the game farm - we particularly enjoyed our game drives with André who is super knowledgeable and just great (the drives are subject to availability and at an additional fee). Lorraine and André went out of their way to make our stay fantastic (thank you both so much again!). We also really enjoyed our accommodation, especially the crisp white linen and the fully equipped kitchen! And everything is so clean! The view is also lovely, and it’s such a peaceful spot - one is really immersed in nature. Would love to go back, can only highly recommend!

Very clean and private.Enjoyed my stay. Great value for money

Exceeded expectations. Everything worked! Was very difficult to leave and go on our adventures during the day because we just wanted to experience all the little touches and various ways to relax and dust off the city. Take a short walk to the fairy forest and have a chat with those who live there, if they’ll come out for you ;-) Be aware that the road down into the valley is flat and well-graded but there are a lot of loose rocks on the surface so smaller vehicles need to take it slow.
