This is a genuine camp on the Ridge with solar power so has no heating or air-conditioning, there are fans for summer and blankets for winter.

Including 2 comfy beds (double + single), air con & heating and basic cooking facilities, you will be pleasantly surprised by this unique opalfield 'cara-camping' retreat. A short drive to town and all attractions THE Tardis is just far enough away to be peaceful but close enough to be accessible Your hosts are locals with many passions. Please note we do not accept pets onsite.

The Old School House

Come and stay in The Old School House at Lightning Ridge – circa 1912, relocated from town to the Three Mile opal field. It’s in a unique position about a 5-minute drive from town, on the bitumen and 500 metres on a gravel road used by miners.
