De Swarte Prinsch is an authentic polder mill in the middle of the nature reserve "de Groene Ster" near Leeuwarden. Sleeping in a windmill, an experience! The 120-year-old mill has surprisingly combined many authentic details with modern colors and trendy furniture. From your bed you look through the glass ceiling at the wooden gear, which can be illuminated at night. The bathroom is small, but modern and offers you a great view over the meadows while showering.

You will have the entire house at your disposal, where we live a few days a month. The house was completely renovated last year with a new garden, new bathroom and toilet downstairs, and everything has been repainted. Ground floor has a spacious living room with open kitchen and renovated garden that is on the water. Downstairs in the hallway is a toilet. On the 2nd floor, we have 2 bedrooms and a renovated bathroom +toilet and in the attic another 1 bedroom.

Rural location on the Elfsteden route, on the edge of the Leeuwarder forest we rent out our "6 person coach house". The former coach house we have converted into a beautiful apartment and is next to our farm with private terrace on the south. Do you want to stay in a quiet environment where nature plays the main role then this apartment is for you. We, Ate and Gerda are owners since 2016 and have made our farm in Jelsum completely sustainable.
