Calm on cottage

Thierry's stay was great. If you are looking for peace in nature, this is the right place. The listing has everything you'll need. The coffee bean machine was delicious! On the hot days, we gratefully made use of the nice pool. The only consideration we would have is that 1 of the beds is in need of a new mattress, we solved it with extra blankets. The other beds were lovely! Thierry was a great host and the communication was good. We would recommend this place to anyone.

A stunning French Pigeonnaire

DerekRating, 5 stars12 months ago
A great location for exploring the northern part of Lot et Garonne and the southern part of the Dordogne. Right in the heart of Bastide-country. We explored the bastide towns of Monflaquin, Villareal, Monpazier, Issigeac, Eymet, Villeneurve-sur-Lot, Pujols and Domme. We were amazed by the grottos under Domme. We visited proper castles at Biron, Bonaguil, Gavaudan and Duras. We bought lovely rose and dessert wine from the Chateau de Monbazillac. We bought local beer beer from the Biere de la Bastide micro-brewery in Monpazier and from Ratz brewery near Cahors. We bought antiques from vide greniers markets in Tonneins and Fauillet. In short, we've had a whale of a time. The property is lovely - quiet, full of charm and very comfortable. We enjoyed our afternoon swims in the pool. Donna is the perfect host, ably assisted by Bert. Bert escorted us on various walks around the local fields and lanes. Thanks Donna - it has been a truly relaxing break.

Peaceful Vacation House: Breakfast/Yoga available

PaulineRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Peaceful environment for a quality cottage. A very nice intimate outdoor space under the lime trees and a welcome hammock to fully relax. Old house, nice and cool to shelter from the heat of the end of May. A very pleasant cottage to stay in, beautiful countryside, discreet and caring hosts and a welcoming cat.

Maison St. Clair

Had an amazing time at Geraint and Charlotte’s beautiful 13th century maison when visiting France for a friend’s wedding. The property has so much character and Monflanquin itself is very beautiful. Geraint and Charlotte were the perfect hosts and couldn’t do enough for us including putting us in touch with a fantastic taxi driver who sorted all our ferrying to and from the wedding across the weekend. Couldn’t recommend these guys enough and would not hesitate stopping there again if we were in the area.

Rest in the middle of the centuries-old oaks

SylvainRating, 5 stars10 months ago
The stay at Max's was very nice, ideal for our small group with a baby. The location is quite magical with its overhanging view, green garden and full of life. Monflanquin just next door is very cute and has a supermarket, convenient for side shopping. Max was very friendly and welcoming, even bringing us an aperitif and wine one night. The fact that each bedroom has a bathroom is a real plus. Kitchen is modern and fully equipped. A charming house and area in short!

Little barn in the heart of Périgord noir Dordogne

LindaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a wonderful stay! Laurent and Emilie have created a lovely home away from home in a peaceful setting, surrounded by beautiful gardens and nature. They were super responsive and helpful whenever we had questions or needed information. It was an easy walk or bike ride to Montignac. The barn was well equipped and very cozy. It was all just super!!

Gîtes Beau Chene

MarjaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
What a fantastic stay in this cozy gîte. It is fully furnished with everything, we really didn't miss anything! It is a light, fresh house that is really very tastefully decorated. Everything is available for cooking yourself or sitting on the huge terrace with a snack and a glass of wine. The terrace is super spacious and we really enjoyed the wide view over the fields. ”In the morning, enjoy breakfast on the terrace and in the evening with a drink on the sunbeds enjoyed the sunset, we really felt away from it all these days. We even showered outside one morning, after using the coldtub that is on the terrace. Because in addition to a lovely bathroom, there is also an outdoor shower ;) It was nice that we stayed in the gîte in nature and at the same time were in the middle of various beautiful villages that this area is known for and there is something to do and visit everywhere. Inge and Bob, thank you very much !!
