Absolutely beautiful. The hosts cared very much for the location and the needs and preferences of the guests. The unit is a 2nd floor stair-access location so may not be suitable for those with mobility limitations, but from the moment you open the door, you immediately feel a sense of “I could live here.” The decor was home-like and inviting, with all kitchen amenities readily available. Every detail was considered: from a spare umbrella at the coat-rack, to coffee-maker with supplies, to mixing bowls in the cupboards. Tucked underneath the TV was a collection of books with something to appeal to all ages and interests; and when that wasn’t enough, there was a deck of cards at hand — perfect for a rainy day. At night the neighbourhood is quiet and still, interrupted only by the early morning chirp of birds. The hosts were as engaged or discreet as a guest might desire and readily adapted to your needs. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank-you Josseline!

We had a great stay at Kim's place. We rented two units for our group of 8. The apartments met our needs perfectly.

Perfect little spot that was super walkable: 25 minute walk from Carleton, 20 minute walk to the grocery store, river walk right out the door, and many shops, cafes, and restaurants close walkable as well. Quick to get a Lyft to the airport. Loved the bathtub.

A pleasant looking accommodation in a nice quiet , tree lined street. We needed to contact Sonia a couple of times and she was always quick to respond and advise! We were given Clear instructions how and where to gain access to apartment. The apartment was downstairs, very comfortable throughout. Bedroom , lounge area and kitchen which were well equipped . The low level light in the hallway was a nice touch if you needed to visit the bathroom through the night. There are maps of the central area and lots of flyers of local sites. At the top end of St Andrews St is Sussex street where you will find Majors hill and the Parliament building and Notre Dame church. A few streets along from the accommodation is Dalehouse street which leads up to the Byward market area. Finally, we hadn’t planned visiting the Royal mint , which is on Sussex; but found it to be a unique , informative and enjoyable experience!

Ryan’s place was great to stay at. The neighborhood was beautiful and peaceful. The place was very clean and Ryan gave us privacy but was very responsive as well which was great. Parking was easy and very convenient. No complaints. Would come back.

Cute and cosy little place. Very clean, and very close to Byward market. Although small, we were provided all the amenities we needed. Check in was a breeze and Tatyana and Maya were very quick to answers our questions and address our concerns. Will definitely consider staying again on our next trip to Ottawa! P.S. - The coffee was tasty!

Mike's place is a fantastic choice. I've stayed before and going forward all trips to Ottawa it's my go-to place. Spacious, well furnished, quiet, safe, great location, nice secure parking and more! Highly recommended! I've stayed in 100's of Airbnbs over the last 15 years and this one is a standout gem!

Helene's Sanctuary was the perfect spot for us to rest and recharge for a weekend. We enjoyed the art, the backyard, and the view from the room. The gardens and rockface are stunning. The bed was very comfortable and we found everything we needed in the space (a mini-fridge, kettle, keurig, microwave, toaster). It is also half a block from a bakery and grocery shop. Helene was helpful with recommendations and anticipated our needs. For example, she offered to make us a fire on a cool evening and leant us an umbrella for the rain. Helene was an amazing host and even had a special gluten free treat for me on my arrival - imagine! We highly recommend staying at Helene's, what a treat. Looking forward to returning again soon.

Great stay, super helpful instructions and amazing location! Beautiful little neighbourhood and the property is very clean and peaceful, although floors were a bit squeaky so you could hear people walk in the house attached to it - not a major inconvenience though. We had a great stay and this is probably one of the best place you’d find so close to the Ottawa city for the price you pay.

This is a very clean, well-designed and comfortablel house in a walkable neighborhood in Ottawa. It is close to walking paths, the canal, restaurants, cafes and lovely gardens. It is in a central location for exploring the city.

This is a nice clean, spacious and comfortable apartment with lots of standard size windows for a basement apartment. It was a good base to visit family in East of Ottawa. The internet was also good and I could get some work completed in the apartment. Thank you.

Good central location and close to good transportation links, both for cars and public transport. Reg is a fantastic host, chatty and approachable.

Very flexible owner. Everything was great, clean and welcoming. Only thing is the laundry room was locked the 2 nights we stayed.

Caitlin and her family were amazing. We felt right at home the entire time. She was always helpful and responsive. They even went out of their way to help us move in our groceries as they were heavy. We appreciate all their kindness. Their place was spacious and comfortable to stay in and had everything we needed. It was overall a great experience.

Ottawa is now my favorite Canadian city and this apartment is one of my favorite Airbnb stays ever. The bed is comfortable, there's plenty of storage and the rainwater showerhead made for relaxing showers. The hosts are friendly, welcoming and responsive and the decor is bright and modern. Not many cons. The couch is short and firm so not ideal for naps, though I managed, and the kitchen is tiny, but it had everything I needed. The home is well-situated in the charming Little Italy neighborhood. It's close to a wonderful trail that takes you to Ottawa River in one direction and Dow's Lake in the other. And, of course, you're blocks away from some incredible Italian groceries - highly recommend the gelato at Pietro's Corner and fresh pasta and sauces at Parm Fresh. You are a longer walk or a drive from the downtown and major tourist attractions but public transit stops are nearby and I enjoyed a respite from the crowds I highly recommend a stay here.. I'd happily stay there again.

This was my third stay at Catherine's. Always such a considerate host. She contacted me to see if I had any special needs, followed up during the stay to make sure everything was okay. She also lit the fireplace before I checked in to make it more welcoming. I'll go back without hesitating!

A wonderful place for a family getaway! The property is perfect for kids — they absolutely loved the playground. The views are truly breathtaking, and the peaceful atmosphere made it a perfect escape from the city. We were lucky to meet the owner, who was incredibly welcoming and kind. An amazing experience overall — we can’t wait to come back!
