Modern Tranquil River Home w/Hot Tub

CindyRating, 5 stars6 days ago
My bird dog Molly and i thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home has every single thing you could possibly want or need on vacation. Molly loved watching for deer and birds from the patio overlooking the Cuchara River. I loved the luxurious bedding and comfortable mattress! It has a chef’s dream of a kitchen, too. Tanya was quick to respond when I reached out and so kind. We will be back!

Former candy store now a comfortable home.

Stay in a renovated piece of history in the heart of Walsenburg. Very quiet and I loved the welcoming committee of Robert's cats, the evening deer and the bird watching. Also there is a great view of the Spanish Peaks and sunset from the kitchen! I would definitely stay here again!

Wahatoya Guesthouse

RebeccaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Kelly's place is an oasis! The first thing we saw when we walked in was a deer eating peacefully in the backyard, and it only got better from there. Her guesthouse is completely private and the back deck is lined with trees, perfect for bird watching on the deck and taking in the gorgeous view of the mountains. We decided to stay in La Veta because we wanted to check out a new town while visiting the Sand Dunes, and we're so glad we did! After a long day on the Dunes, it was amazing to come back to Kelly's place and take a long shower (amazing pressure!), watch the sunset reflect off the mountains from the back deck, and sleep in one of the most comfy beds we've experienced in our travels. We also met Kelly at her shop on Main St, and she is so nice and full of great local recommendations. We're already thinking of visiting the Dunes again next year, and Kelly's place is top on our list!
