If you really want to stay in as close to an old Irish Cottage as you can get this is the place to stay but still enjoy the comforts of modern day. Babes cottage is cosy yet spacious inside and out and Marguerite ensures you’re greeted with nice touches of fresh baked bread and enough wee essentials to get you settled. Fully recommend Hogans bar for a meal and a pint with the most friendliness of host and locals. There is plenty to do around Coolrain and Marguerite has lots of information around the cottage to plan days out. Pack your walking boots and explore. Definitely recommend Babes Cottage. Thank you.

An absolute gem of a location. Loads of room,incredibly comfortable and all the amenities that you could want. It's also just a short 5 minute drive to Portarlington, but we decided there was little need to leave the house, as it was so relaxing. Margaret is a wonderful host and really made sure that we all felt at home, and we loved our (far too short!) stay. You simply can't go wrong with this place!

Jackie’s house is stunning It is also credibly well equipped, really spacious and surrounded by beautiful gardens. The view is stunning. Jackie herself is incredibly helpful, calm and relaxed as a host. Overall, I couldn’t recommend the entire experience highly enough.

We had a fantastic experience staying at Danny’s Airbnb in Laois. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and exactly as described — even better in person! Danny was a thoughtful and responsive host, making sure we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location was peaceful and perfect for exploring the beautiful Laois countryside and we really appreciated the small touches that made it feel like a home away from home. If you have a chance to stay with Frances you are so lucky. One of the nicest hosts I’ve met through AirBnB. The house was perfect and spotless. Homemade baked goodies were to die for on arrival. The fire was lighting, the heat was on and the house was so cosy and warm. Beautiful and quiet location in the countryside. We booked Prosecco Painting and it did not disappoint. The snacks and Prosecco was flowing and the 4 of us now see ourselves as budding artists. The hot tub in the evening to relax topped it all off. All the locals we met on a walk were so friendly and helpful. The beds were so comfy. A home away from home. We will definitely cross paths with Frances again. She is just amazing!!!!

This house is very pretty, comfortable and fully equipped with everything you would need for a holiday or in my case a weekend. In short, its a home from home. It has a gorgeous garden and a beautiful summer house. Everything was clean, lots of towels in beautiful bathroom and lovely rainhead shower. A lovely little sweet treat welcome gift from the host was much appreciated. Communication with lovely host was easy and instructions for everything were very clear. Would definitely return.

This possibly has to be one of the best Airbnbs I have stayed in to date. From the moment I booked it to locking up after my stay it was just a great experience. Ethel was an absolutely fantastic host, the house is absolutely beautiful and spotless. We had a big group of friends and family stay and not one complaint from anyone in the group. The beds were comfy, the shower was to die for, the boardgames and the BBQ came in so handy for our lovely sunny weekend too. Ethel was proactive in recommendations and suggestions for the weekend that I never even thought to ask about. The rooms are bigger than what they look like in the photos. We genuinely didn't want to leave at all. Any questions that we had were answered immediately and nothing was too much trouble. I have a feeling that it won't be our last time staying with Ethel :)

Was a great experience. Paul was very helpful with everything we needed. Lovely place if you want to get away and just relax. Definitely perfect if you are bringing a dog , loads of space to run. My two little ones absolutely loved it , they did not wanna leave. We had a wonderful time , definitely will go back again!

The cottage is an amazing getaway, a good digital detox in lovely surroundings with Alpacas for company. Paul was the perfect host throughout. We travelled with our pet dog too. The cottage is very well finished with all conveniences. The nearest supermarket is 10mins drive and we cooked in the cottage both nights. We wanted the two nights as a nice relaxing break. We did some hillwalking in the Slieve Bloom Mountains nearby. Highly recommend for a relaxing break away
