Footbridge Farm is a quiet country get-away located on 90 wooded acres, 15 miles NE of Decorah. We are close to the mouth of Canoe Creek, the Upper Iowa River and adjacent to state DNR land. The cozy owner-built cabin has an open ceiling with exposed beams and rafters giving a sense of spaciousness. Local stone was used in the exterior walls and the floor-to-ceiling fire back behind the wood-burning stove. The floors are oak and slate. Detailed craftsmanship can be found throughout the cabin.

Stairs are required to gain access to this unit.

Relaxing river view from the front porch and dining room was the star of the show. Nice clean cabin. Convenient location for visiting family in the area. Adding Wi-Fi would be a nice addition, although we could get spotty cell phone/hot spot connectivity from the porch/dining room to make do. Would consider renting again.

We had a very nice stay- and we loved our view from our deck overlooking the Mississippi. It was not too far from Lacrosse so we could go hiking there for the day or go to Prairie du chien for golf or shopping.

The modern kitchen features sleek white cabinetry and a contrasting dark island with seating. Stainless steel appliances, including a refrigerator and microwave, are integrated into the design. Soft lighting from pendant fixtures illuminates the space, enhancing the clean and functional layout.
