You have your own private entrance and patio area on an entire different side of the house so your experience can be as private as you like. The entire apartment which includes: washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen and patio area. Your host will be available for anything you need during your stay. My daughter/co-host, Bernadette, a young D.C. professional, can also answer any questions about the D.C. area, restaurants and other cool places to go. The apartment is in a quiet suburban neighborhood with easy access to the Washington area. It's a short walk to the FDA. Downtown Silver Spring is nearby, with its many restaurants, bars, Fillmore music venue, Ellsworth Dog Park, and a movie theater. The National Archives, University of Maryland College Park and UMUC are just few miles away. A Ride-On bus stop is located on the same block as the apartment. A Metro bus stop is 5 minute walk. Silver Spring Metro Station is about 4 miles away. There are a few parking garages at the Silver Spring Metro Station if you choose to drive there and then hop on the metro. Free parking on weekends and holidays at all Montgomery County Parking garages (some lots and street parking may require payment on Saturday). You could also Uber/Lyft to the metro station or all the way into the city (great option esp if you're splitting fare).

David was an absolutely fantastic host, and his home was one of the most beautiful and comfortable places I have stayed! The neighborhood is gorgeous, quiet, leafy, and very convenient to the shops and restaurants in downtown Takoma Park. I enjoyed several walks along beautiful Sligo Creek trail, which is right at the end of the street. David was extremely responsive and even delivered extra supplies to the front door. The location, amenities, safety and comfort of the unit were all top-notch. I would definitely stay again! Thank you so much for a wonderful visit, David!

This is the second time that I have stayed here, and I’m glad that I returned. This time, I cooked dinner in their kitchen, and Solha kindly let me use a shelf in the freezer and fridge. The area is quiet at night, and it’s located near nice bike trails for runs. I was here for a work trip, and I feel like the comforts I was able to enjoy in the listing helped me relax during my time off. They also upgraded the room with a comfortable couch! I recommend this listing.

Patricia was a great host! She was very nice and responded quickly. My friends and I stayed here for Memorial Day weekend and her bnb was a wonderful extension of her home with enough beds for four of us, and all the amenities you would need. It was a quick walk to a bus stop as well (about 5 min), and about a 15/20 minute walk to takoma station, as stated in the description. It was a great stay and both my friends and I would gladly stay here again !

We loved our stay. It was exactly as pictured. We appreciated the off street parking and the wide steps with handrail going down to the basement. Upon entering, it gave a warm and welcoming vibe. The bed was super comfy. The host was responsive and easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again.

A hidden gem! If you are wanting to visit the DC area but want to find a peaceful, more relaxed place to stay, then this is it! The hosts were super communicative and made sure we were well taken care of, fast response times. The neighborhood is quiet and close to the train lines/easy UBER to DC, where we went for World Pride. LGBTQ+ friendly place as they were respectful with my husband and I and that I was in drag. The space is so nice with a spacious room, beautiful bathroom, and quite kitchen area. Plenty of room to set up camp and relax when you get back from a busy day. Also, an easy parking spot! The instructions for everything about the space were left for us and made the visit so easy going. While they do live upstairs, the entrance and space are so private you don't notice others are home. 10/10 recommend and we will mark this as a must book spot for DC trips!
