Please note: 1) Our kitchen is fully equipped, but it has a hot plate instead of the traditional stove. 2) Instead of a full-size living room there is a small sitting area with a TV in the same area where the kitchen is located. 3) Guests don't have access to the backyard/patio, but you can enjoy the outside seating set in front of the house.

Everything from the comfortable bed to the charming rustic touches made it feel like a true Vermont escape. Jason was a great host! Very responsive, welcoming, and respectful of privacy. The location was ideal: close to local trails, ski spots, and great small-town food, but still tucked away enough to enjoy some real quiet. Highly recommend for anyone looking to slow down and soak in the calm beauty of Vermont. I’d definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful, cozy stay here! This was a perfect place for our families and was a great space for our kids and dogs. Tom was highly responsive to our questions which is so appreciated! This home is about 25 mins from Okemo and even closer to Magic Mountain! There’s a great little grocery nearby too!

Such a great house in the woods! It had everything we needed for our girls ski trip. Great location to Bromley ski mountain which was only 7 min away, and if you wanted to go to Stratton mountain it is approx 40 min from house. We enjoyed the fireplace as the temperatures dropped into the single digits. There are 3 bedrooms located on the first floor, the beds were very comfortable. The host was very attentive to all our needs and fast to respond to a text. I would highly recommend The house in the Woods to anyone looking for a getaway to Vermont!

Perfect location! Two ski resorts were within a 30 minute drive!! Two ski resorts within a 10 minute drive- skiers paradise!!! Cabin was cozy and perfectly stocked with all essentials to make our stay easy and comfortable!

We were 2 couples and had the perfect stay! Really cozy house with a great porch and hot tub! We loved playing ping pong as well! Would 100% stay there again!!
