Basecamp in the White mountains

This small cabin has recently been re-built with new pine paneled walls and ceiling, bunk beds, carpeting, electricity, a new Eco-outhouse!, solar shower and It is located at the edge of a field about 100 yards from our home. It is a perfect base camp for hikers 12 miles south of Franconia notch trail heads and Appalachian Trail crossing. The cabin is most often used by hikers who want a base camp near many of the most popular hiking trails near Franconia Notch. It is a peaceful and quiet place.

Super secluded, quiet lakeside cape, Sugar Hill Area. A true winter wonderland in the winter months, with access to Cannon Mountain, Loon and Bretton Woods. Quirky house originally built in 1810 and added onto in the late 1800s. This is a true 4 season destination with skiing, hiking, swimming, and shopping / dining in Littleton which was voted one of the best small towns in America. Franconia Notch sights and activities are 20 minutes away. Snowmobile and hiking trails on my property.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was a beautiful place, very tidy and had plenty of space. The screened in porch was a great addition to the space especially with the rain during our stay. It was secluded enough that it had privacy but close enough where stores/restaurants were 10-15 minute drive. There was no cell reception which was to be expected and the WiFi was amazing, never had any issues which was a huge plus.

Jason was one of the most responsive hosts we have ever had. He answered whatever questions we had and immediately resolved minor issues like how to regulate the mini splits. The house has a nice view of the lake, and the separate deck amidst the trees offers some serenity. The lake is a great place for swimming too. We love to hike and there are wonderful trails within 15-40 minutes.

The views are simply spectacular from every level of the house, Erik is a proactive and communicative host, and the amenities are well-stocked, including a well-equipped kitchen. The first and basement floor decks are large and perfect for soaking in the views with your morning coffee or enjoying dinner around the outdoor table. The large and numerous windows allow for an equally impressive view from inside. The location is under twenty minutes from Franconia Notch and all its splendor and activities, and twenty minutes from a stroll down Main Street in picturesque downtown Littleton with all its small town amenities. If you’re looking to experience the beauty of the White Mountains with all the warm comforts of home, look no further.

It was a beautiful cabin filled with things to entertain the kids and plenty of space. We really wished we could’ve utilized the outdoor screened porch but it was not in season unfortunately. Also would have loved to use the community amenity’s in the warmer weather but the small nearby sledding hill worked just as well. Instructions and recommendations were clear, helpful and given ahead of time so we could plan. Hoping to use them again in the future!

My husband, son and daughter had a wonderful stay . . . so many birds!!! Very cozy space and Mallory was just wonderful and helpful with everything. Too bad the weather was rainy over the weekend because my son wanted to hike the nearby trail :) Hope to meet you someday when you come up to our area in Maine . . We plan on booking some point in the future. Our daughter goes to a nearby school and the location was perfect!
