Really enjoyed staying at James’s place. Very clean, comfortable and spacious.

This place was great! The location makes it easy to get to many places in Richmond quickly and it was a perfect location for a family wedding in nearby Maymont. The house is beautiful and the furnishings very comfortable. The pool was a special bonus - lovely and relaxing with incredible plantings. Clearly a lot of time was spent considering what guests might want. I just wish we'd had more time to enjoy it.

Charming house in a lovely part of Richmond. It was close to parks and downtown. We loved the backyard and were able to host my 87 yr old father in law and his wife. They enjoyed sitting in the comfortable outdoor chairs while our dog chased rabbits in the big back yard.

Stayed here with family for a few days. It was clean and comfortable. I'm very picky about cleanliness and we were able to make ourselves at home immediately. It was also very peaceful. We even saw a few deer next to the house! It's walking distance to a supermarket, which is huge when you're on vacation and don't want to spend all day getting essentials! We would definitely stay here again!

Wow! What a wonderful place to spend a few days!! The Resort certainly lives up to its name. We had a lovely stay and enjoyed every detail that was meticulously prepared for us. The host was more than helpful and accommodating for our group of 5 which included two teenagers and my mom who benefited from the accessible floorplan. The weather was perfect for the pool too. Thank YOU and we cannot wait to return the next time we are visiting family in Richmond.

The Glen Allen Steamboat Home met our needs well. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed, and the appliances were modern and functional. The living and dining areas were spacious and comfortable, allowing us to hang out and enjoy one another’s company. The neighborhood was quiet and well kept. Our contact, Angela, was available and helpful without being intrusive. We enjoyed our stay.

Alexander is a great host and very responsive. The place is very nice and indeed feels like a hideout. It was beautiful, modern, and within walking/driving distance of our entire weekend of events. We loved the place so much we tried to extend our stay, but Alexander already had other guests booked. Would definitely recommend.

Nadine was a wonderful host - easy to communicate with, proactive, and responsive. The apt was spotless, and every furnishing and decoration was first class. Lots of little amenities (welcome basket with snacks and waters, drinks in the fridge, bedside chocolates, a few toiletries. etc) were a nice touch. The queen bed was perfect for us - quality mattress w/topper (my wife kept talking about how well she slept). Very quiet neighborhood, yet close to all the activities we planned. Private back patio was a fantastically landscaped oasis for morning coffee or evening cocktails. Plenty of easy street parking. Couldn't have asked for a better lodging.

This home is located on a quiet, picturesque street within walking distance of many restaurants, parks, and attractions. Beautiful garden in the front. Sophisticated contemporary decor that is comfortable and functional. The owners clearly pay a lot of attention to detail and think of all the little things that travelers need. It was immaculate, bed was comfy, the towels were all soft, and there were supplies for a tea drinker like me. I thoroughly enjoyed staying here and would return.

I highly recommend Mary as a host and her beautiful cottage. I will definitely stay here again if I travel this way. She is a wonderful person and her place is immaculately clean, well equipped and peaceful.

Such great hosts! Their space is perfect for long stays, equipped with everything you could need. They are super responsive and were always so kind and helpful! Would love to stay again if I’m in the area.

I highly recommend Johnny's! What stood out to me walking into the unit for the first time is that Johnny seems to really care--he cares about your experience, he cares about offering a home and not just a place to stay, he pays attention to details, he cares about design and aesthetics. He seems to care from a place of valuing experiences and taking pride in his own work product, not because he's trying to sell something for reviews like so many Airbnbs these days (I've stayed in over 30 in the last two years). It was my first time in Richmond and while I considered staying in the Fan District, I am so glad I ended up at Johnny's. As it turns out, Richmond is sprawled out and I would have been driving irrespective of what neighborhood I was staying in and Johnny's was centrally located for everything I wanted to explore. I enjoyed my daily walks around the neighborhood, and there's a cute new bookstore and a bagel shop down the street. Johnny is also so easy to communicate with.

Beautiful place in a nice neighborhood with a lot to do. Christy was very responsive and helpful with questions, and has a great book of recommended things to do during your stay!

This is truly a vacation spot. Serene and quiet you can feel your anxiety decrease. The inside is beautiful but the outside at night is magnificent. I cannot wait to return.

I stayed in this basement apartment for a month and a half while working downtown. The host was extremely friendly, showed me the space, communicated with me about packages and mail, and kept me informed of things to know about the house. I felt very safe in the house and the area. The linens and towels felt very new and clean, and the kitchen and bathroom were also cleanly. The bed was stiffer than I am used to, but I got used to it. There is not much natural light in the apartment since it is a basement unit, but I appreciated all of the lamps and light dimmers so that I did not have to use the overhead lighting. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this apartment to anyone.
