Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Lake Timiskaming

I think this was our 5th or 6th stay at the cottages. Always beautiful- and the cabins come fully stocked with everything you need from linens, towels, kitchen utensils, etc. I’ve stayed at many places in the area to visit family and the cottages are starting to feel like a home away from home. Highly recommend particularly if you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Lovely house & nice yard. Scenic location near the lake. Clean, well run and a generously stocked kitchen. Hosts were easy to communicate with and obviously put in a lot of work and pride in renting the property.

Gemma house was absolutely beautiful! It was very clean and felt like home. I definitely will be back!

It was definitely a pleasant & clean. We didn’t stay in the cottage alot during the day, as our main focus was to snowmobile. As we had friends close by. The cottage was bit warm for us, couldn’t adjust temperature. That’s not a big deal. We left early morning, we would love to come back again. Your communication was fast. Thank you!

We had a great stay. The host was quick to address any questions or concerns. The view of the lake was beautiful. The house was spacious with lots of room for many guest. We will definitely return.

A cozy cottage with a beautiful view! It was wonderful to relax and enjoy the fireplace and also explore the area. The fenced yard was a bonus for the dogs. It’s really the perfect getaway in any season.

Bowhey’s is such a special place. All the amenities, clean cabins, staff is always busy working on something to make it even more beautiful. Ian is so great and laid back. Saturday night karaoke should not be missed! We will definitely be back.

Beautiful view of the West Bay! Cottage was very clean and well equipped. Friendly, laid back people were staying in nearby cottages and trailers. We went to the Lavigne Tavern down the road for supper and had an excellent meal and service. Likewise, picking up ice cream from the corner store. Very friendly, warm, relaxed town - we'll be back!

What a little slice of heaven! Highly recommend Bowhey's particularly for families. Among the best features: The wraps (totally creative), the access to the dock, the pool (very large pool) and karaoke night (so much fun!). For just a week, I was able to have my son experience life like I did in the 80s and 90s. He met new friends, played games in the pool and outside and just enjoyed a simpler pace. If this is what you're looking for, Bowhey's is for you!

My first time experiencing cottage life. Ian and his family are good hosts. My children loved Ian. This resort felt very safe. The people that were there were very kind and friendly. it was not overwhelming, it was just right. You do have to bring your own pillows and linen. My suggestion, bring a fan. keep you cool at night. There is hot water. Karaoke night was a lot of fun. no judgement. Ian has a big variety of music. If you are coming from the GTA, you are looking at about 5 to 6 hours of travel time depending on traffic. We didn't get to do the trails because our kids wanted to swim in the pool all day. However, there are trails around the area. Canoeing was a lot of fun and the paddle boards were a challenge but a lot of fun too. There is fire wood present for you to use if you want to make a bonfire. There is a convenience store down the street. They sell essential groceries, beer, liquor, first aid and hot food. Some of his cabins have a really good view of the lake.

Loved our stay. Ian was fantastic and friendly. Great location with everything we could ask for.

This place is absolutely breathtaking, being right on the lake, the view was beautiful from morning to night time. Usman was also an amazing host who responded to all our questions and concerns in timely manner before and during our stay. Could not recommend this host and their place enough. Had a great stay at this Airbnb. It's very peaceful (located on a lake). The Airbnb itself had everything could need while away from home. It actually felt like I was at home (other than the fact that I don't own a house on a lake lol). Julien was also very easy to deal with, easy to get in contact with, and very friendly. Would definitely recommend this Airbnb. I will be returning when in the area again.

Nothing other to say besides this place is what you dream of. if you want a place in the middle of no where, a retreat that you want to just relax and feel at ease, this is your place. This place exceeded my expectations. the view, the comfort, your surroundings here is something that doesn’t come around often. my friends and I had a great time on the water, enjoying the fire, playing games and relaxing. You’re aloud to pretty much everything. Ken is a very classy well spoken man with tons of background. He tells you things you couldn’t even imagine. I look forward to speaking to him again soon. Thank you for the stay I definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a getaway from reality and enjoy the meanings of what life really is!

We had such an amazing weekend here celebrating three birthdays! This was such a great find. Check-in and check-out was simple and straightforward. Corey is very quick getting back to messages should you need anything. There was flat yard next to the house which was perfect for lawn games. Caught lots of fish off the dock, enjoyed paddle boarding (kayak and pedal boat provided). The cottage was very cozy and we easily felt right at home. It has everything you need in the kitchen too. The property and surrounding area is beautiful and very relaxing! Thanks for the great accommodations, will definitely be back again!!

if you love fishing, then this is the place. the cabin was wonderful and both Jeff and Lynn were friendly. I would definitely stay again.

We stayed at this place for a quiet weekend away form everyday hussle and bustle. Nice full house in a little village just, just off the highway. Very close to playground and walking trails. 5 min to Temagami with a few restaurants and stores. We would definately consider again for a relaxing time away.

We had a pleasant stay at this Airbnb! Keifer (property house keeper?) was very responsive, accommodating and helpful with local suggestions as well. The property was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. There were enough rooms/beds for 12 people group. One thing to note is that there’s no internal connection between the upstairs and downstairs areas—you have to step outside to move between the two levels. It was mentioned to us by Keifer before we came here but was a bit inconvenient specifically when some of us had to go upstairs climbing the stairs outside during the night. They had kayaks to use which was really good. The downstairs bbq place was also nice, however the railing was flimsy and might be a hazard for kids. The game room in the big garage room was really nice too. We had a great time playing there. Overall - a really good experience.

Just finished a lovely Thanksgiving weekend at the cabin. My family of four took in some beautiful nearby walks, did a little fishing, had a few campfires and enjoyed the sauna at the cabin. The surrounding property was so quiet and peaceful. It was a really good place to unplug and just be together. The cabin was super cute and very clean. Had everything we needed to make delicious meals in the evenings. Loved it.
