Lake Jocassee fishing vacation rentals

We rented Michael's house for a weekend kayaking trip on Lake Jocassee. The house is absolutely lovely and the location inside the state park was perfect. Michael is a very responsive, considerate host. I've already booked our next stay!

Absolutely perfect. We stayed for the week with our five kids (6,4,3, & 1 year old twins) and had an amazing family vacation. The space worked perfectly for our needs as a large family with small kids and the beach area was especially perfect for toddler playtime. The waterfall across the way was stunning and we loved boating around, fishing, swimming, fires by the lake, and rainy evenings in the hot tub. Such an amazing place for families!

The home is very cozy and has a great view of the water even during the summer months.0 We LOVED having the grill. We made the best ribs on it one night. AWESOME!

Hardystone lake house is stunning both inside and out! Our family of six (4 boys , 2 parents ) had plenty of space and there was something for everyone. We loved that there were enough kayaks for all of us to use and the putting green was a big hit. It also had beautiful views from both decks and the double decker dock! This home was extremely clean, The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything you need if you prefer to cook like we do. We hope to be back! Tiny flying bugs would surround the doors at night so be quick opening/closing doors!

Our family was fortunate enough to stay at Marissa’s lovely Lake Escape to celebrate our daughter’s graduation from Clemson. It was a beautiful way to enjoy being together. We loved Marissa’s beautiful lake house. It reminded us of our family cabin in upstate New York. Thank you very much Marissa for opening up your lovely home to the Giebelhaus House.💜🧡💜🧡

Beautiful, amazing and perfect for a getaway with friends or romantic stay. Architecturally stunning. Great example of mid-century modern with lots of cut outs, glass and details. Not for the mobile challenged (stairs and a bit of a walk from the car parking) and lots of glass (you give some privacy with other house mates) so if that is not your thing, I wouldn't recommend it. Very quiet except when you open the doors to the waterfall. First day, some water cascading over but after a rain it was all white and mesmerizing. Beds are small but very comfortable. I was able to cook some great meals and they had a lot of items you don't always have, like aluminum foil. Took the hosts recommendation for a vineyard (distillery was the highlight) and a stop in Toccoa, GA. Just book it and enjoy.

We absolutely loved our stay here! It’s the perfect get away on the lake for big groups. It is in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you could need. 10/10 recommend!!

Perfect house for a get away with the family. Great views of the water and the open kitchen which was very conducive for family meals. The owners were very responsive to any questions I had during our stay. Highly recommended for families visiting Clemson. Will definitely try to come back for another stay.

The lake house was absolutely perfect for our family vacation! It had everything we needed to feel comfortable and truly at home. The space was cozy, well-equipped, and peaceful. Our host, Ethan, was so responsive and kind—he made everything easy and welcoming. We’d happily stay again!

What an amazing stay! The lake house is so unique, and there is so much to do without even having to leave. It has three separate levels with a room and bathroom on each. The upstairs has a jacuzzi tub overlooking the beautiful lake. The morning fog on the lake from the third floor is magical. The bottom floor is the perfect place to hang out with your entire family, as there is ping-pong, darts, pool, and board games. We had an absolute blast and would book again. I can't imagine how much fun it would be in the summer with warmer weather and the lake. Everything was spotless and immaculate, and the location was extremely safe and close to everything you needed. Host was excellent. Highly recommend!

Our stay at Breanna and Danielle's "Home in Sapphire" was nothing short of magical. Nestled in breathtaking surroundings, this gem is perfectly located on the water, offering stunning views that made every moment feel like a postcard. The home itself was incredibly clean, reflecting the hosts' attention to detail and care for their guests. Each room was wonderfully decorated, combining elegance with a cozy charm that made us feel right at home. The furniture was exceptionally comfortable, and the beds provided a restful night's sleep after our days of exploring. We truly enjoyed our time at "Home in Sapphire" and left with our hearts full and spirits lifted. We can’t wait to return to this beautiful haven again!

Great location on the water. Close to grocery stores and restaurants as well. Large dock and deck with lots of chairs/tables. Large house with lots of space to have privacy when wanted, but also hang out together. Weather didn’t cooperate so we couldn’t take advantage of the kayaks, marina or hikes in the surrounding state parks. There was a binder listing local restaurants and the local waterfall hikes available.

The sunsets from the porch are gorgeous. It is not only impressive that this home was built in just the perfect spot to catch an amazing sunset, but also nestled in the middle of Fontana Lake with a great view of the lake. I can’t say enough about this location! I’ve grown up coming to the Carolina’s and never knew about Fontana Lake. This cabin feels incredibly secluded and luxurious, but close enough to all the best adventure spots—Nantahala, Deep Creek, Smoky National Park, Fontana Lake access points, Appalachian Trail—you name it. There is even a great trailhead walking distance from the cabin that has great views of the lake, creeks, and challenging and diverse enough to walk 2-3x. We saw deer and wild turkey almost everyday and the wildflowers were in bloom all over. Additionally, the master bedroom has an amazing view from the bed. When I opened my eyes each morning, I had a view of the smokies that was mesmerizing. We all want to rent this cabin again!

We had a wonderful stay at the Sail Loft over Memorial Day weekend! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The space is so cozy, beautifully decorated, and full of thoughtful touches—it’s clear that every detail has been carefully considered. It’s just like the photos, only better in person! Nichole was the perfect host—kind, responsive, and welcoming. She guided us throughout our stay, making sure everything went smoothly and that we felt comfortable and cared for. We loved enjoying the Keowee Key amenities, especially the pool and dining at the club’s restaurants. It truly felt like a hidden gem! We’re already looking forward to coming back soon. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with all the comforts of home!

A very nice place that is a fit for two. Had everything you need with a screened in porch. The driveway is gravel and next to another house that had several cars at it that made it hard to park close to the house. Had a nice little pond with nice views.

Nothing fancy, but I had everything I needed. This is a great place to be secluded and get back to the basics of life. I felt right at home.

Great 10 year Anniversary destination. We explored the State parks along route 11, visited different waterfalls and kayaked on Lake Jocasstee. The house itself was peaceful and had everything we needed. The sounds of nature and the flowing creek were the perfect way to get to sleep, and wake up to. The nearby twin falls were spectacular and an easy 10-15 minute walk. Like most have said, the only downside was having to leave.

Great location to visit the Lake Jocassee and Lake Keowee. The bed is very comfortable and the cabin was very clean. I highly recommend this place!!

My husband and I stayed here for 5 days and absolutely loved it. The rooms offer beautiful views of the mountains, and the three-season porch was a wonderful spot to relax. The kitchen was fully stocked, which made it easy for us to prepare several quick meals during our stay. We especially enjoyed the deck area, which leads directly to a trail—perfect for peaceful post-lunch walks. The whole setting felt serene and well thought-out, making our stay both comfortable and memorable. Just a heads-up: the last mile to the house is a gravel road. However, we had no issues getting there with our small rental sedan.
