Can’t say enough great things about this place. The house is so charming and in a great location close to town. Very clean, Comfy beds, soft towels, everything we needed in the kitchen. 10/10 style and accommodations. We traveled with 2 preschoolers and it was absolutely perfect for our little family. We loved the hammocks and playing in the creek behind the property. Will absolutely be back

Jill’s Wander Wild cabin was everything we were hoping for and more. It was fully stocked, and quiet and only minutes from town. The hot tub was wonderful, the bed was comfy and we absolutely loved listening to nature on the deck and drinking coffee in the mornings. We did a puzzle, listened to some music and just enjoyed the surroundings while we fell in love with the town. We will certainly be back if she’ll have us!

Fantastic getaway in the mountains, next to a babbling brook, with everything you could want. Just a quick trip down to the village but far enough away that it was super quiet. I'd been dreaming of an A frame with giant windows and a patio overlooking the trees and this was exactly it. That, plus the bonus of a cozy place to watch movies and hang out inside. It was my first trip to Idyllwild and I hope to come back again to stay here.

Great spot very quiet and great views the windows in the upstairs loft were great for star gazing. We enjoyed our stay.

We felt right at home here! It was off the beaten path but still super close to town. The AC works REALLY well downstairs but it doesn't even begin to touch the bedroom area, so bear that in mind if you're staying when it's hot. Hot tub worked great, the kitchen had everything you would need to cook, and check in/check out was smooth.

This is our 3rd or 4th time here- we just love this Airbnb, truly our favorite! Our doodles have such a big enclosed yard to play- with trees and lots of wildlife all around us. And the prefect view of the Tahquitz rock too! I don’t even look for other Airbnbs anymore in Idyllwild- I just message Ariya and book☺️. The home is always clean with everything we need for cooking and relaxing. I always appreciate the assorted teas from their store as well. This time, we made sure we took advantage of the hot tub after a hike and a run. The bathrobes are always appreciated and even helpful when it got a little chilly at night. Ernie Maxwell trail is just over a mile from the house and my big dog and I hiked/ran there twice- such a beautiful place to take your dog(s). Ariya and Marc are such perfect hosts- always communicating and ensuring we are enjoying our stay. I also appreciated it when Ariya messaged me that I could check in early. Thanks again Ariya! Gorgeous views and surroundings. Kitchen is well stocked with high quality cooking supplies/pots/pans. Using the hot tub with the beautiful view was a dream. Waking up in the middle of the forest with birds singing was lovely. The hosts were wonderful - very responsive and kind.

We absolutely love Michael and Cat’s place. This is our third time staying and love everything about the place. Great location close to town and hiking, charming and beautifully curated spaces (inside and out), and just an overall great place to chill/hang out. Super friendly hosts who are very responsive. We will definitely be back!

Perfect weekend getaway in the mountains! This 2 bed / 2 bath home was perfect for our little family (2 adults, 10 month old & 2 dogs). Downstairs- 1 bdr, 1 bathroom, kitchen, dining & living, sliding door to patio. Upstairs - 1 bdr(no door), 1 bathroom. We brought our own pack&play crib (but we noticed this Airbnb has one too!) & set it up in the downstairs bdr. Note: we also brought our own portable blackout curtains which were much needed. The downstairs bathroom has a tub. Upstairs- the bdr doesn’t have a door but there’s a short mesh safety gate which is perfect for dogs & babies. The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking. Really appreciated the secure dog run for our dogs! They had no problem going potty out there. Also something to note: there’s a lot of noise outside the house including roosters, woodpeckers that peck at windows, birds and other animals that land on the roof. If you’re sensitive to noise, bring earplugs. Overall the home was clean & organized.

Lovely spacious "cabin in the woods" with an excellent second story deck that provided a delightful, dappled sunlight for outdoor reading in the afternoon. Large fenced in yard was excellent for our two Australian Shepherds who enjoyed the room to run after our hikes in the mountains. Fine local shops and restaurants were within easy walking distance. Looking forward to returning in the future.

This was my second time staying at Anastasia and Milen’s awesome mountain retreat. I adored their comfy, relaxing cabin, especially the outdoor deck which provides incredible sunset views and extraordinary birding opportunities. I can’t wait to return! Anastasia and Milen get my highest recommendation!

We had such a wonderful stay at the Wavy Pines cabin. We were so happy to find a pet-friendly home that we could bring our whippet to share the fun with. Our dog had a blast going up and down the stairs and exploring all the smells outside and experiencing his first snow! The neighborhood was so serene and quiet, we felt so relaxed and it was an easy, short walk to a national forest trail that our dog also enjoyed very much. The town is only a few mins drive away which had restaurants and grocery stores so we were short of nothing during our stay. We look forward to staying again during our next trip to Idyllwild someday!

This was hands down the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. In fact, staying here in this beautiful home and amazing location, it has influenced my boyfriend and I to start our journey with owning an Airbnb! I can’t say enough good things about this place! Our second stay at Whispering Pines and we had a great time that mirrored our first visit! Awesome hikes, good food, peaceful mornings with a cup of coffee, and clean space. We unfortunately had to leave our senior dog at home this time but love that there were full pet accommodations!

Amazing place for a mountain getaway. Our dogs and toddler couldn't get enough of the fenced yard, and it was very private and quiet. The house had everything we needed plus loads of natural light all day. Will definitely book again!

Vanessa and John's cabin in Idyllwild is an amazing getaway. The views are spectacular. Our first night it was raining which created the conditions for one of the best sunsets I have ever seen. My seven year old daughter referred to it as the house above the clouds. The place was well stocked, everything was well organized and clear. Place was spotless and town was just a short drive away. The only thing I will say is that it is right next to the road which does get some traffic, so not as isolated as it appears in the photos. But that is well worth the stay. Would definitely stay here again.

A Fantastic place to stay! The photos match the house. Place is very nice and quiet. The house was very spacious and had everything we needed for a cozy stay. Jaimy was very helpful and communicated really well with us throughout our stay.

The house is lovely, we especially enjoyed the trees and how calm and secluded it felt. The house is smartly furnished, with an intelligent and elegant attention to decoration and detail. The screened windows and doors on the upper level allowed us to be comfortable even though the weather was warm during our stay, and the downstairs bedrooms were cozy. The only real challenge with the property is that you have to carry everything up a long steep set of stairs. If you have packed heavy suitcases, or are brining food in a cooler, bear this in mind. We didn't have any problems with this, but it was a bit of a chore when we loading and unloading the car. The host makes this very clear in the listing, and we loved the place. In practice, the stairs are part of what allows the house feels so pleasantly secluded. Our visit was in June and we are definitely of a mind to visit again, perhaps during the winter when we could enjoy having a fire in the wood-burning stove.

My husband and I really enjoyed our time at the Cowboy Cabin. We were right inside of town. Walking distance to just about everything. Restaurants, shops, shaved ice...yummy. Back at the cabin we enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching the squirrels and birds scurrying around. The cabin is adorable. So true to the original look. We would definitely stay here again. Don't let me forget, your pretty much next door to Ferros Restaurant. The food is fantastic. Live music on Tuesdays, they have a wood burning pizza stove on the back patio and with the recommendation from Leslie my husband ordered the lasagna and loved it. Idyllwild has been my favorite mountain town for the last 40 years. Highly recommend the Cowboy Cabin. 👍🏻✌🏻♥️🌲

Cozy, quiet cabin about a 5 minute drive away from downtown Idyllwild. Spacious living room and great amenities. We will definitely be back!

We had a peaceful and enjoyable stay. Well appointed cabin. Very nice to have a television in each room and also a wireless sound system. Looking up at the stars from the hot tub was also a major plus!

Idyllwild is a wonderful place to disconnect from the noise of the outside world. Mike’s charming Gladstone Cabin was in the midst of a bucolic wonder. Check-in was a breeze. Immediate gratification in enjoying all that the cabin has to offer. And it offers a lot. We really enjoyed the veranda looking out to a forest of verdant Ponderosa Pines. If you love birds, you will be wooed by Steller’s Jays, American Robins, Spotted Towhees, and Lesser Goldfinches. You will feel hugged. Mike was a pleasure to communicate with. He was quick to respond even when he was out of the country. He has a beautiful home, a short drive from town. If you’re looking to stay in Idyllwild, you can’t go wrong with the Gladstone Cabin.
