Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Lake Corpus Christi

We have been fortunate to have almost universally positive Airbnb experiences, but this one was special. There are absolutely flashier homes out there, ones closer to the beach, or closer to an influencer’s ideal. But Bon Temps Rockport felt like home. From the exceptional hospitality shown by Natalie and family, to the thoughtful decoration, the convenient to Rockport and only 30 min from Corpus location, and even an easy checkout that was not the onerous list of requirements some properties are known for, this place is special and represents the best of what Airbnb can be. All to say I happily recommend Bon Temps Rockport to anyone looking to stay in the area. Our family can’t wait to return.

Beautiful home and location. It was exactly what we needed. We had to buy some items that weren’t in stock as described like oil, salt, pepper. There also wasn’t enough dish soap and hand soap. Other than that we loved it and would stay again!

Loved the location and the cottage. You can see the water from the front porch and the breeze off the water was wonderful. The cottage was clean and the decoration was tasteful. We didn't do a lot of cooking at the cottage but we had everything we needed. Everything was clean and accommodating for us and our pet, including water/food bowls specifically for the dog. Messages from Melissa were timely and easy to follow. Checking in and out was a breeze and I would highly recommend the Spoonbill for anyone wanting to stay close enough to Port Aransas for things to do but also enjoy a quiet, peaceful setting.

Brandon’s home was absolutely beautiful and the perfect size for our group who went to the beach! It was close to Mustang island and the Texas State Aquarium! The backyard was beautiful with a fire pit to roast s’mores and they had an assortment of games to be played. The kitchen was wonderful and clean and the bathrooms were fantastic! The home comes with a washer and dryer and they provided laundry soap as well! I will definitely be recommending this home to others and would love to visit in the future!

We had the best time at Cleo’s home! The house is beautifully decorated and very comfortably furnished. We loved the pool and the round couch to sit and talk at. We also loved the wide varieties of plants and the palm trees in the backyard! The neighborhood is very quiet and we felt very very safe. We are looking forward to coming back as soon as we can!

This place was comfy and cozy. Clean all around the house and the pool was exactly what we needed.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. * Checkin and checkout were easy. * Good communication with host; quick responses. * house was clean, well furnished and spacious * Beds were firm but comfortable; pillows of different firmness available * Cold AC and fans worked well. * Shower worked well and handheld shower heads were a plus; hot water limited when both showers are in use; body wash/shampoo/conditioner are provided. * Kitchen is set for cooking & eating meals; basic spices provided * No dishwasher available; dish detergent provided * Keurig dual coffee maker (k-pods & drip coffee) is provided; bring your own k-pods and coffee grounds; instant coffee with creamer & sugar is provided * Garage for parking car was available, but we didn’t use it * Neighborhood is quiet & safe. * Washer/dryer work well; detergent provided. * Roku TV has plenty of streaming apps * Short drive to stores/restaurants and hwy * Charcoal grill worked fine. NOTES: bring mosquito repellent for outdoors

Perfect location in Port A. Best stocked rental we’ve ever stayed in. Tons of good TP, dish soap, laundry soap, shampoo, etc. Blue tooth speakers all over the house. Tons of sand toys, beach chairs and pool toys. Pool area was a hit with our group. Golf cart was included and worked well. The only downside (which still wouldn’t keep me from staying again) was that the ice maker kept tripping the gfci and some doors are warping due to the salt and humidity so they were hard (especially for kids) to get closed. Michelle was super accommodating to all of our requests. She let us check in early for no extra charge and had someone come clean the pool for us after a storm asap. This is a great rental for a big group! 10/10 recommend

We decided to take a pit stop from the volunteer event we drove to and was able to get early check in with the last minute decision. We were given extra blankets for all the kids and had some great recommendations from host!

The location was perfect for us, 5 minutes from anything you need. Tony was very nice and the bnb was exactly as pictured!!! Everything was clean and had anything you might need. Thank you so much!!

I cannot say enough positive things about the facility and the host. Super clean. Very comfortable. And the host was very responsive to any questions. This entire experience surpassed my expectations. We will definitely seek to stay with Natalie again in the future.

Honestly, had an amazing time celebrating my sister’s birthday!! The condo was in a perfect location walking distance to the local shops. The pier was amazing. Thank you so much for allowing us to check in a little bit earlier. Until next time Laguna Reef.!!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful beachside condo! It was cozy, well-decorated, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing trip. The host was kind and very responsive throughout our stay. And if you’re looking for the best possible view—look no further. The ocean view from the balcony is absolutely breathtaking and truly sets this place apart. Highly recommend for a peaceful and scenic beach getaway!

Use of KEVO for entry was new But effective

We felt so at home during our stay! Denise and Ernie thought of everything — from kitchen must-haves to bathroom amenities, our family of four lacked for nothing. Denise communicated promptly and courteously, and I felt comfortable reaching out to her when I had questions about local grocery chains. We would be so thrilled to get to stay again in the future. We enjoyed our stay.

Our stay was perfect. The cabin was lovely, spotless and comfortable and had everything we needed. The surroundings were peaceful and I felt very safe. There was a gate leading up to the house that we locked at night. Tyler was very responsive to my messages and we would definitely stay here again!

It was a quiet and peaceful stay. The kids loved being able to run around and enjoyed being in the country. It’s a very convenient place to stay being close to the beach or just staying out in the sticks. I definitely recommend and will want to come back during the spring or fall. The furniture was very comfy and lots of bed space for my wife kids.

We enjoyed our stay here, it was so peaceful and quiet. Our kids loved hanging out on the dock on the river and enjoyed seeing the fish jump up out of the water. We would definitely suggest bug spray because the mosquitoes are no joke but worth the risk for this riverside experience. Corrine was very communicative and welcoming. She really helped make our first Airbnb stay seamless and comfortable. We will definitely be booking with her in the future and recommending her listings to others!

We had an absolutely terrific stay! The house was gorgeous, clean and exactly as pictured. The community it’s located in was wonderful. They had multiple events going on and of course the beach is a short walk away. We couldn’t have had a better stay. Don’t worry about the construction going on in the neighborhood, we hardly even noticed it at all! Only one call out is that the Wi-Fi service was a little tough in certain spots of the house. But hey, we were on vaca anyway ☺️
