Ted was accommodating and responsive. The cabins is cute, comfortable, and has a great view. We were in town for an event so didn’t spend much time there, but would have liked to have been able to sit and enjoy the tranquility of the lake more than we did.

This place is truly a dream getaway! Located just a quick five-minute drive from Jay Peak, it offers the perfect blend of convenience and cozy charm. The home has a wonderfully warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at ease. If you're bringing your dog along, you'll love the scenic trails right out back—perfect for a peaceful walk or an adventurous hike. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need to whip up meals, which made our stay even more comfortable. And the hot tub? Absolutely amazing—such a relaxing bonus after a day on the slopes or exploring the area. A special shoutout to our host, Haley, who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Her hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a relaxing, well-equipped stay near Jay Peak!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our week at the camp. It was such a beautiful, peaceful, and idyllic setting where we could walk, hike, enjoy the sunsets and fire pit, and relax on the the screened in porch. It was a great base for a couple of day trips as well short drives to St. Albans and the Burlington area for dining. Everything was very well done and as advertised.

We stayed in this wonderful cottage as two college friends (now middle-aged) who wanted a quiet, peaceful place to relax and catch up after not seeing each other for a long time. Everything was incredibly clean and tidy, with a responsive and proactive host! The beds and linens were so comfortable. Parking and signage was easy. Things to keep in mind: the bedrooms share a wall, and the bathroom is nice but very modest in size. (While it was fine for two relatively average women, the men in my family are 6’7” and broad; they never would have fit in this bathroom.) Would absolutely recommend!

Sherry was a great host, the place was as described and warm n cozy - 5F outside so much appreciated. Very responsive host and close to our chosen ski destinations. Beautiful surroundings

Great place. Three of us went for a few day fishing trip and it was perfect. Great dock space and cottage is clean and comfortable

The whole experience was amazing, booked this place to stay somewhere local during MapleFest and it was PERFECT! Maybe 10 minutes away from St. Albans and the location on Champlain is UNBEATABLE. It is not a fancy place like described but it is so homey and comfortable and just overall such a great stay.

Hosts were helpful, cabin was lovely and had everything we needed - a great location for hiking and exploring VT - would stay again for sure ❤️

The HideBehind was the perfect weekend getaway! We wanted something peaceful and private close to other parts of Vermont we wanted to visit. Everything about the cabin was perfect, it was clean, had helpful instructions and recommendations, and Scott and his wife were very friendly and welcoming. The hot tub and electric fire were easy to use and made our stay 100% more enjoyable. This is a place I would definitely recommend, and I myself would come back again!

The house was perfect for us. We were a group of 8 and everyone had a comfortable place to sleep, plenty of space to move around, park our cars and sit while relaxing throughout the house. Ryan was so helpful and quick to respond if we had any questions. Lovely house, hope I get to return.

We had a wonderful vacation. The cabin is a true gem in the North East Kingdom. Upon entering the house, fresh flowers decorated the rooms and we found a basket of snacks for us and our dog. Leslie and Matt’s passion for decorating made the house cozy and inviting. The grounds were beautiful. We enjoyed walking through the garden, relaxing on the deck, and walking to the river. The food shopping service Leslie and Matt offer is an added bonus. The cabin is also in a perfect location. There are many great hikes and restaurants close by. The North East Kingdom truly delivered with its scenic woods, spectacular summit views, and gorgeous waterfalls. Plus every meal was amazing. Thank you for your hospitality and making our vacation this year a memorable one! You both were responsive, friendly, and such a help before and during our stay. This vacation was exactly what we hoped for: a relaxing retreat among the trees. I wish we lived closer because I’d be back every year.

5 stars all around. Spent a few nights here with family, the house is absolutely beautiful just as the pictures. Easy to find and helpful and responsive hosts, would definitely stay again!

Jon and Sergios haven of a lake house felt like stepping into a nautical dream with a splash of luxury and a whole lot of adventure. Clean, cozy, and stocked like a ship ready to sail. Nautical vibes all around made it feel like a captain's retreat. Stargazing from a bubbling hot tub quickly became the nightly ritual. Pure bliss. Not too far from a super Hannaford and we were also a tiny drive from the most wildly beautiful river rafting canyon I’ve ever seen.

We had a wonderful stay! The cottage was beautiful, surrounded by a peaceful forest, and perfectly equipped for families with kids and a baby. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, the beds were very comfortable, and everything was exactly as described. The hosts were highly responsive and helpful throughout. We truly appreciated our stay and would happily return!

This was our second time at this chalet. We are 2 families. 4 adults and 4 children ages 9-13. 6 bedroom, with comfortable bed. The kids can all play on the walk out basement...foose ball table, air hockey, karaoke, tv, couch. The kitchen is well supplied with pots/pans and spices. Beautiful surrounding, a hottub. We will be back for sure! Host was a pleasure to communicate with!

Our friend group of 8 had a great time here. The lake is beautiful and we enjoyed the dock, kayaks, hot tub and overall scenery. There were bathroom issues from the septic that were out of Priyanka’s control, and she was very responsive and helpful. The house had everything we needed. Overall would recommend for a remote scenic vacation.

Everything was fantastic. The house is spectacular. The pictures cannot even begin to capture the beauty. Every nook was inviting. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The location was peaceful and serene. Jessica made everything so easy and effortless.

Lovely comfortable cabin for our family of six. Short drive to smugglers notch where there is great hiking and bouldering!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Owl's Head Cabin for a long weekend skiing at Jay. The cabin is small and cozy, very warm, and the right size for two people for a weekend. In addition to the main bed, there's a loft with a sleeping area, but you'd have to be very small to get into it and enjoy it; I'd guess the cabin would be a bit small for a couple with children but maybe if you're out all day it'd be okay. Cooking appliances worked well. The one note of caution is that you have to drive on a somewhat rough, uphill dirt road for at least 3 or 4 miles to reach the cabin. We fortunately did not have to drive during a time when there was actively snow falling on the road, but the 2wd sedan we rented definitely would not have made it in those conditions; it was a little harrowing even with just the slush and ruts left after plowing. So be careful if your trip coincides with nastier weather! Jason was very communicative and left clear instructions. Overall, we had a lovely stay.

This is a very cozy cabin in the woods, with easy access to Jay Peak resort, which was important to us. Pete was very responsive when we asked a few questions about how certain things worked and where items might have been located. the kitchen allowed us to cook every meal in house during our 3-day stay. Would definitely recommend this for A getaway with family or friends.

Booked while visiting Vermont state with my daughter. Nice location and very roomy. First visit to NEK and we enjoyed it.

This is a really charming cabin in a great location. We stayed for a short family weekend of hiking and it couldn’t have been more ideal. Highly recommend the place and the area!

The Simple Cabin in the woods is beautiful. It was cosy, peaceful and private; perfect for our little getaway. Anne's description and photos clearly described the property and there were no surprises. We had dinner by the chimneria, relaxed in the sun on the Adirondack chairs on the deck, made ourselves a nice meal with the great Webber grill, went for a hike along the stream that runs on thier property, and practiced Taiji in the yard. In the mornings we ate breakfast at the small table while gazing out the big picture window and at night relaxed in the loft watching the projector TV. The guidebook is full of helpful information. Sprinked throughout the home is evidence of Anne's thoughtfulness. We appreciated the cleanliness, the well stocked kitchen, the small decor and books, the soft linens and towels, the artwork and lighting. We notice these small details and it makes us feel like our host cares about our experience. Anne is very kind and responsive. We highly recommend!
