Vacation rentals with lake access in LaGrange County

It was such a beautiful stay. The back of the house faces the quiet channel in a circular view, which allows for a lovely view and breeze. The house had an inviting layout, great for our family vacation. The shed in the back was accommodating with lots of water toys, especially for kids. There is a little private and very clean beach area that was great for the kids as well. We look forward to coming back!

We were incredibly happy with our stay. The home was very clean, filled with thoughtful and appreciated things. Blankets in the living area, tissues, extra chairs and seating in the closets which we used. They had towels we could use for swimming. Lots of games for both inside and out. We used the kayaks and the dock to park the pontoon we rented. We used and loved the fire pit. Plenty of outdoor seating. I could go on for days about how wonderful the kitchen was. It had plenty of glasses and plates and silverware for our full house. It had serving bowls and plenty of serving spoons. We used the cast iron skillet and the air fryer. There was a blender and hand mixer and crockpot also. Plenty of hot pads they even have Tupperware type containers for leftovers. We cooked every meal and found nothing lacking. There were even common spices and cooking oil along with ketchup mustard and relish waiting for us. Very glad to stay and hope to come back again.

So glad I stumbled upon Steph's Ice House listing. Had a peaceful, almost secluded stay yet close to the many Shipshewana attractions. Impeccably clean and decorated, with modern amenities which would be fantastic for an extended stay. Steph sent a greeting message immediately after my booking and followed up with detailed instructions and area tips. Was pleasantly surprised with doughnuts and popcorn when I arrived, a very nice touch. Looking forward to booking with her again!

We enjoyed our stay so much! The house was very cozy and very clean. The most comfortable beds and the view is incredible! Would have liked to sit out on the deck as there was no lounge chairs but other than that it was perfect!

We had a cousins reunion at this house and truly had the best time!! There were 5 families: two adult couples and 3 couples with kids (ranging from 1 to 8 years old). We all had plenty of space and the rooms worked out great. Our time down by the lake was AMAZING! We loved that everything we needed was down there, having a bathroom, a fridge and sink right there were so handy. Lauren even thought of everything, with plenty of phone chargers down there too! Also, we weren’t looking forward to blowing up the inflatables we brought for the lake, and we didn’t have to, because there were so many already there and ready to go!! Even had beach towels. Not having to worry about all of the things like that was a huge win. Also the water was gorgeous and clear as described!! Great for kids! Lastly, Lauren was incredibly responsive and helpful. Highly recommend this place I will definitely be back!!

it was such a fun night. definitely worth the money and stay. we will be coming back once it warms up and we can go on the lake. such a beautiful home

We had a great stay at this lovely lakefront cottage. Sad that we were only passing through (1 night) because it's such a beautiful and peaceful location. I can see this place being great for families and those who enjoy being on the water. Watching the Canada geese and swans, both with their babies made our morning.

Absolutely loved this house - fantastic location, outdoor space is amazing, fully stocked with lots of thoughtful touches. I would (and probably will!) stay here again!

I mean, what can I say other than what a perfect place for our families. We rented all three apartments. The huge yard with swingset:slide/sandbox/ so many bikes to ride. Great pier, raft for the kids to play on. Great swimming area..sandy. Our two year old great grandson cried when it was time to leave!😥 Great firepit area. Mandy communicated very well.

Great host accommodated a late evening checkin and answered questions quickly and promptly!!

Great place and a fantastic experience with Lauren. Very peaceful home (like in the country) yet close to everything. The home is very clean and has everything you'll need. This place is 5 Stars, and priced very reasonably, so book it now if its available. You will not regret it! Thanks again Lauren for the treats. Special surprise that made our day even better. I needed it after the Notre Dame loss and that cheered me up :)

This was my second time staying here, we had a different unit which was just as good as the first. The place is clean, has everything you need and more.

Purchased this trip for my husbands birthday so he could spend his days fishing. He was treated like family by the hosts and had a great time. They truly went above and beyond to make him feel welcome. He thoroughly enjoyed his stay.

We flew into Ft. Wayne for the weekend for a wedding at Kendale Farms. We picked Michelle‘s location because it was the closest to the venue. But what we didn’t realize is how adorable the place would be, how quiet it was, how accommodating Michelle would be and overall make our weekend wonderful. We had uniquely cold temperatures that May weekend so did not get a chance to enjoy the dock and the lake but could see it from the unit. Thanks again I would highly recommend staying there if you have a wedding at Kindale Farms or if you want a weekend at the lake.

My family had an amazing stay here! This place is beautiful. The bedrooms and living room were very cozy and the kitchen has a coffee/tea bar that we really enjoyed (along with anything you need for baking/cooking)! We tested our skills in pickleball and then enjoyed a family campfire with s’mores (bring/purchase firewood if you are planning to have a campfire). Lauren is a great host, and we hope to be back next year!

The most friendly hosts! The home is so clean, which is always important to our family. We visited in the Summer and it was nice to walk into a cool air conditioned home at the end of our day. We loved having dedicated parking spaces for 2 cars. There were lots of little extras in the home in case you leave something behind...like soap! The neighborhood is perfection, like a movie. Friendly and kind neighborhood. There is a ~3 mile loop around a stunning lake. Cars drive slowly as there are so many walkers, runners, bikers. Just truly wonderful. There was a coffee pot and a tea kettle, so many teas to choose from! The host not only provided canoes, kayaks and life vests, but she carried the canoe into the water! Honestly, these hosts go way beyond just being helpful. The beds were comfy, the fridge was clean, so many fresh towels. I hate that I have a character limit because I have so much to say. The price for this stay is more than reasonable. I would give more stars if I could

This Cute lake cottage was great for a peaceful getaway! Well appointed with plenty of options to entertain yourselves with games or on the water. Host was most gracious and even came over to help us when we couldn’t find the bean bags for a game of corn hole!! We would definitely stay again!

Always the perfect stay. This was our 3rd time visiting and it’s perfect each time. The cottage is “white glove” clean. The beds are comfortable. The views and accommodations are just what is needed to relax and reset. Every time we go something is updated or new that improves the stay. The owners are so friendly and communicative, it keeps us hooked. I have stayed at dozens of Airbnbs and this belongs in a “the best of Airbnb” section. If you are debating staying, book now, you won’t regret it!

This house was perfect for our final visit to Angola for my daughter’s Trine graduation. The house is beautiful, warm, cozy, well stocked and loaded with outdoor fun and games. We loved the closeness to the water and spent most of our time on the patio. The beds were super comfy and the bathrooms very clean. Traveling from Texas on a plane - I very much appreciated the supply of toiletries and basic kitchen necessities so we didn’t have to buy it and waste what we couldn’t bring home. Homeowners were extremely kind and communicative. Top notch all around. We will miss our Angola lake visits.

We stayed here back in 2021. We fell in love then with place. We tried to go back the following year but was off the market for awhile. When I saw this come back open, I knew we had to go back. If you like the sun, water, campfires, and just relaxing on the deck. This is the place. I would like to give it a bad review so we could keep it a secret so we could return anytime but that's not the case. Something this nice should be shared.

This was our third year back—perfect stay as always! Chris and Missy are wonderful hosts, the cottage is cozy, and the location can’t be beat!

We have stayed at many Air BNB's over the years and Amy's lakefront cottage was hand's down the best. It was exactly what we were looking for and far surpassed our expectations. The property is beautiful and well kept with tons of amenities. We will definitely book again the next time we're in the area. Thank you so much for having us!

This place was amazing! It's so peaceful and beautiful. They had everything you could possibly need, including a tray of snacks and wine, and the blankets were so comfy! Everything was very clean, and the included kayak/paddle boat is a plus!
