We absolutely loved our time here and only wish we could have stayed longer. The setting is incredibly peaceful, with breathtaking views in every direction—perfect for relaxing and taking in the beauty of Iceland’s countryside. One of the highlights was getting to visit with the adorable sheep and their lambs, as well as the playful goats and their kids. It was such a joy to watch them and learn about life on the farm. The hosts were so welcoming and made us feel right at home, giving us the freedom to explore and enjoy the surroundings. In the evenings, we loved cozying up in the comfortable house and gazing out at the vast, quiet landscape. It truly felt like a retreat from the world. If you’re looking for an authentic Icelandic countryside experience with kind hosts, incredible animals, and stunning views, this is the place! Highly recommend staying more than one night—you won’t want to leave.

Tina’s place was perfect for our road trip, everything was advertised. Beds were very comfortable and the place was spotless. Would love to stay again!

Wonderful cabin that was cozy and comfortable for our 3 night stay. Very private and peaceful. Had a beautiful view when it wasn’t raining. Lovely horses and sheep grazing around you. Would definitely recommend

One of the most unique stays I’ve ever had with such an amazing view! Staying on a horse farm with a creek was fun, and we were allowed to pet the horses. The host and daughter chatted with us and shared a lot about the local culture, which was nice! We enjoyed looking at all the paintings from other guests - and adding our own. The house was also well stocked with games, books, and other general supplies. Small complaints were that there was no self check-in, so I was worried about arriving late, and I don’t know if there was a lock on the door. The property was very private, so I wasn’t worried, but I don’t think we actually locked any of the doors to the cottage. Also, the blinds let a lot of light through, which made it hard to sleep given the <3 hours of darkness during the summer. Ellen was a great host and always communicated very well - would recommend!
