Peaceful oasis! We absolutely adored our stay here. It was remote but surrounded by beautiful towns and villages to explore. The place itself was perfect for what we needed and just spending time outside in nature/farms. The pool and hot tub were exceptional. It was so quiet we felt we were fully alone and could fully switch off. There was everything you needed kitchen and bbq etc. Would love to come back.

Super séjour ! Les hôtes sont très sympas et accueillants. Le logement est propre, confortable et bien équipé, exactement comme décrit. Très bien situé, avec plusieurs villes sympas à proximité pour les visites.

Wij hadden een zeer aangenaam verblijf bij Dominique. De omgeving is prachtig, rustig en charmant. De gîte heeft een authentieke stijl, was zeer goed onderhouden en erg goed voorzien. Ons dochtertje (1,5 jaar) was een grote fan van de geitjes en schaapjes op het domein. Supermarkten, stadjes, marktjes, wandelingen,… alles is zeer dichtbij. Absoluut een aanrader!

We were greeted by Lucille , who spoke perfect English and Monsieur . We were shown all about the house, how to operate the jacuzzi and given excellent recommendations for the area. The booklet was invaluable particularly for village market days. The house is so attractively deco and so comfortable with everything you need to make your stay troubles free and relaxing. As we are from Australia we loved cooking outside on the BBQ. Being supplied with wraps for the jacuzzi was much appreciated as was the jacuzzi after climbing lots of steps visiting the castles. Our hosts all came to farewell us which was a lovely friendly touch. We thank you all for your lovely home and generous spirit of welcome. This is an excellent Perigord base and we strongly recommend it.

Semaine heureuse et chaude. Logement très lumineux avec baies vitrées partout. Rien ne manque pour bien vivre ses vacances, tout est propre. Il manque un micro-onde et une bouilloire; foyer écologique oblige. Les photos ont été bien prises car les arbres ont poussé depuis sur la vue panoramique. Jacuzzi très bien venu. Améliorations sur la sécurité proposées notamment pour les enfants: rambardes manquantes partout au sous-sol notamment derrière ping-pong, porte coulissante de la chambre à lit 1 place dangereuse, ... Superbe région aux nombreuses activités et sites remarquables.

We had a wonderful stay at april and max’s (4 adults and a 1 and 4 year old). The house is in a beautiful and peaceful setting with lots of lovely places a short drive away. April and Max were such warm and kind hosts - we had a minor incident with one of our children while on holiday and they couldn’t have been more helpful. The house was clean and had everything we needed with great facilities - we felt it was better in real life than the pictures. We would definitely return if coming back to the area 😊

Caroline und Gilles sind sehr herzliche und freundliche Gastgeber, die bei Fragen sofort zur Stelle waren. Die Unterkunft ist wie auf den Fotos beschrieben. Es handelt sich um eine wirklich außergewöhnliche, sehr große Wohnung. Das Wohnzimmer (früher die Bahnhofshalle) ähnelt einem Museum, Caroline und Gilles haben alte Bahnhofsutensilien und Bilder gesammelt und dort ausgestellt. Haus und Garten sind liebevoll restauriert und gestaltet, die beiden haben viel Arbeit (und Geld) investiert, um aus dem alten Bahnhof eine wundervolle Unterkunft zu machen. In der Küche fehlt es an nichts. Das Zentrum von Le Bugue ist ca 1 km entfert, über den schönen Fahrradweg "voie verte" sind es 4 km. Wir haben die Radtouren und unsere Unterkunft sehr genossen. Ich habe mich auch über den persönlichen Kontakt und einen kleinen "Plausch" am Abend gefreut, so konnte ich mal wieder die "eingerosteten" Französisch-Kenntnisse anwenden. Vielen Dank für alles!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour et en partie grâce a l'emplacement du logement, direct dans le quartier historique, parking a proximité, jardin public à deux pas idéal pour le chien, grand choix de restaurant ,simple pour sortir et visiter autour de Sarlat. Dans l'appartement tout y est , très fonctionnel

Très agréable sèjour,très tranquille tout comme j aime , je remercie Marylène de sa gentillesse,très bien situé pour visiter les sites de la Dordogne.

Quel charme en arrivant à Marcillac-Saint-Quentin ! L'allée révèle un parc arboré et soigné avec une grande piscine partagée. Un accueil exceptionnel de la part de Mariette et Jacques ! Mariette discrète, attentionnée, d'une grande douceur et générosité a le sens de l'accueil. La maison en pierre apparente, dispose d'un jardin privatif avec table, transats et BBQ. - Au RDC, la fraîcheur est la bienvenue : Cuisine équipée, Salon Louis Philippe, mobilier rénové. Majestueuse cheminée ouverte, prête à être allumée. Encore une belle attention. - À l'étage 2 chambres spacieuses, soignées elles aussi. Literie et linge de qualité. Plaisir dès le matin d'ouvrir les fenêtres, d'écouter le chant des oiseaux et d'observer l'écureuil sauter d'arbre en arbre. La maison située à 10 min de Sarlat, non loin de Lascaux, est parfaite pour se reconnecter à la nature. C'est un havre de paix avec une belle énergie. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir ! Je recommande vivement.

We had an utterly fabulous week at Magalie's lovely gite. Very tranquil settings, just the sounds of the birds and peace and quiet. The grounds were beautiful tended and the gite was immaculate and very well set out and equiped. The beds were memory foam I think and very comfortable and lots of hot water. Important things i think when looking for reviews. It rained most days but the heating was on and very comfortable. ,Magalie and her husband were very helpful and lovely hosts. We will book again xx

Appartement calme,très bien situé avec vue exceptionnelle , conforme aux photos. Confortable, bonne literie. Seul bémol : les rideaux occultants des chambres ne sont pas efficaces , ils laissent passer le jour. Arrivée et départ flexibles et faciles.

Une parenthèse enchantée à la cabane au bord de l'étang ! Nous avons passé de superbes moments proches de la nature. Un accueil chaleureux de la part de Sara, avec un pain au levain excellent. L'accès est simple et rapide à ce cocon de verdure. La cabane est douce et pleine de charme. Nous avons pu l'apprécier sous le soleil, mais aussi se blottir dedans pendant une soirée orageuse, c'était formidable et si cosy, la cabane est très bien isolée ; mais au besoin, le poêle était déjà prêt pour chauffer cet endroit douillet (nous n'en avons pas eu besoin.). Nous nous y sommes sentis chez nous. Il y a de nombreux coins et recoins pour profiter de ce havre de paix, observer la nature et adopter un mode de vie tout en tranquillité. Nous recommandons vivement ce lieu et sa charmante hôtesse. Merci d'avoir créé cet endroit.

Je recommande chaudement le logement de Pascale, tout est parfait, la situation géographique, l’équipement, l’environnement (la campagne en ville !), les commerces à proximité sans parler de l’accueil qui est formidable ! Il est certain que nous y reviendrons !

Beynac et Cazanac is such a stunning setting and we were back for a second visit. Catherine's place is absolutely perfect, the pictures, although beautiful don't live up to the real thing. It is magical. The bedrooms are all lovely, comfortable beds, pillows and lovely linens. Each room has it's own charm. And there are 2.5 bathrooms! The kitchen is fully equipped and the living room lovely but we were so lucky to have a sunny and warm week in mid September that we were outside for all meals and most of the time. We were in the pool a few times each day and could not get enough of the view. Lots to watch on the river as it was full of bright canoes every day. Hot air balloons floated by most every day, some almost close enough to touch. At night the castles are lit up in the distance...simply stunning. The town is so historic with cobbled streets and medieval houses, no surprise movies are filmed here. But the best part is how peaceful it is, hard to leave. Great shops too

We stayed for 10 nights as 5 adults and 3 kids all under the age of 5. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the size of space and facilities available were excellent and we felt right at home. The cellar was a big hit with the adults and we all enjoyed the pool day and night. Plenty of nice villages and towns within driving distance if you want to get out and explore which we did on several occasions. Rachel will keep you right with plenty of local tips and info she’s a great host. I’m sure we will be back, thanks again

Linda and Alex's villa is in a beautiful & peaceful location, it has a fantastic swimming pool and beautiful gardens with lots of things to do – table tennis, swimming, boules, & relaxing 😌 The area is wonderful with lots of River swimming and beautiful towns all within a 10/15 minute drive We will definitely be returning

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour chez David et son épouse. Ça a été dur de partir ! Pour des jeunes parents, nous avons trouvé exactement ce que nous voulions : un lieu magnifique pour profiter avec nos enfants mais aussi en amoureux lors des siestes et du coucher. Les enfants ont adoré, il y a des jouets pour eux ce qui est trop rare ! Nous espérons revenir !

C est un très bel endroit, Paisible , tres fleuries et bien entretenu. Entourée d une campagne tres verte et belle. On s y sent de suite tres bien . Avec des propriétaires tres accueillant. Le gite est magnifique . Plusieurs activités sont mises a disposition. On peut faire des promenades sans prendre sa voiture. Et pour finir les alentours proposent de tres bon restaurants .

Très beau gîte, qui est au cœur de la nature. L’environnement est très calme. Le gîte dispose de beaucoup d’équipements pour enfants ce qui est très agréable. Notre hôte est très réactive aux messages.

Notre séjour à Monfort a été extrèmement agréable. Quel bonheur de boire son café dans le jardin le matin face au château de Monfort. Certes le logement se trouve juste à coté de la route (donc si vous voulez du silence totale ce ne sera pas le cas) mais la vue et les environs font de ce logement un endroit tout à fait exceptionnel, ce qui en fait oublier ce petit désagrément. Morgane a été une hôte charmante et tout à fait à l'écoute. Nous recommandons vivement ce logement pour une pause hors du temps. Merci pour tout!

A lovely peaceful place to relax. The house is very cosy and has a nice area to sit outside and enjoy the view. The pool is nice and large, and along with and the many other leisure facilities very well looked after. Alan and Fanny were very friendly and gave us some good tips on places to visit. It's a very short walk into the village where the Forge restaurant is well worth a visit.
