Silky Oak Cottage

A lovely and very comfortable place to stay while exploring the Border Ranges area and nearby town of Kyogle. Quiet and old-style farmhouse but with all modern conveniences. Recommend!
A wide expanse of green grasslands is framed by gently rolling hills and mountains in the distance. A narrow gravel road winds through the landscape, leading towards the horizon. Bright blue skies with soft clouds create an unobtrusive backdrop.

Farmhouse in the Condamine Gorge

FranRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We love staying here! This is our second visit and will be back again. So peaceful and quiet - can really see all the stars at night. Fire pit is perfect for sitting around at night with friends. Kids had a ball, running around the place and playing games - didn’t get asked for a screen once 😄

Fantastic spot with an incredible feeling of “being off the grid”. Aiden was a great host and we will certainly return for a long weekend here. One for the bucket list.

Cosy Cottage

Great little cottage that lives up to its name "Cosy Cottage". Spotlessly clean, well appointed, very comfortable and a great communication. Kylie is a great host, and I highly recommend the cottage and will definitely book again when back in town.

Cute cabin at Mountain Dreaming

EbonyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
It was such a special experience to stay here!! A super cute little cabin atop a hill surrounded by lush gum trees and nature- oh the serenity! 🌳✨🌄 My parents built this home and I grew up enjoying this property thoroughly, creating many memories with my family, especially my late father, Gerry. It was a surreal but genuinely wonderful experience to return here to enjoy a stay in the cute little cabin Thea and Justin have built here, and relax with a delicious soak in the magnesium hot tub! ✨ Thea and Justin were so very accommodating, hosting me for a delicious dinner and allowing me to walk through their home, as I reminisced the days I called it home myself. What Thea and Justin have done with the place since it became their family home - is heartwarming to see. It's comforting to know the place I grew up watching my father care for and put his sweat and tears into building, is being looked after and appreciated so greatly by Justin and Thea with the same creative passion. 💚

Walganbar's Rainbow Lorikeet Cabin

PaulRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Walganbar is exceptional in more ways than one. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the thoughtful welcome pack and the beautifully presented, spacious unit that had everything we needed for a quiet and intimate weekend away. As if that wasn’t enough, the moment you walk through the door, you’re greeted with a spectacular view that captivates you throughout your stay. We often enjoy self-catered weekend getaways, and Walganbar truly tops the list. It offers everything you could want — including stunning nearby waterfalls and peaceful surrounds that make it the perfect escape. It’s a hidden gem, made even more special by the wonderful hosts, Rachel and Kathy, who go above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable, relaxing, and just that little bit extra. This one place we’ll surely come back to.

We had a fabulous stay in the cottage, it’s in an idyllic spot with peace, wildlife and views. The cottage is cosy with everything you need for a self-catering stay. We spent lots of time outside around the fire and also enjoyed the comfy lounges and a crackling fire inside as well. Perfect!

Froghollow Lake House a Romantic Luxury Cabin

BrentRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a truly lovely and relaxing stay at this beautiful retreat – the perfect escape from the city. Kerry and Barry have created an idyllic place for guests to unwind and reconnect with nature. The property is teeming with wildlife – we spotted wallabies, water hens, ducks, and even caught a 45cm catfish in the lake! The serenity here is incredible. Amy discovered the lake sits at a crisp 20°C after falling in during a paddle-boarding attempt, but fortunately, the 37°C spa was the perfect way to warm up afterwards.Every detail has been thoughtfully considered to make your stay comfortable and memorable. We’re already looking forward to returning and can’t recommend this retreat highly enough!Thank you again, Kerry and Barry! P.s sorry I just remembered we forgot to put the fishing rods back where they belong! Apologies – Brent and Amy
