We had a wonderful stay at this homestay in Pondicherry! The location is excellent - just a short walk from the beach, which made our mornings and evenings truly refreshing. The place was very clean and had all the basic essentials we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was responsive and helpful, making the experience smooth from check-in to check-out. One small point of feedback: the TV was difficult to use due to poor sound clarity, but that didn’t affect our overall experience since we spent most of our time exploring the area. Overall, it's a cozy and convenient place to stay in Pondicherry. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxed, well-kept spot near the beach! Thank You!

The place is nice , well ventilated and fully equipped

the apartment was very clean and had everything needed for a comfortable visit. The aparement is on the second floor and was pleasently surprised to see a lift/elevator. maybe I missed reading it in the description. Open layout, felt cozy. Had a decent kitchen with hot plate, vessels to make something in a jiffy! The whole apartment was air conditioned and it was quiet. locaton was perfect and walkable to to restaurants, shoppping, beach While it was quiet at night, during the day, it is noisy with traffic sounds. The Wifi was great. I wish the curtains had privacy screens as it makes the room and living rooms a tad transparent at night. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it

I absolutely loved my stay at this beautifully designed penthouse in the heart of White Town. It felt like a home away from home, with a spacious layout, comfortable mattresses, and modern amenities like a fully stocked kitchen, reliable mesh Wi-Fi, and a washing machine. Each morning, Sumathi Amma would come by around 10 a.m. to tidy up, which made my stay even more comfortable and hassle-free. The location couldn’t be better - just a short walk to the beach and surrounded by decent restaurants and grocery options. Devasmita and her wonderful team (Gaurab) were always available and quick to respond, offering helpful local recommendations. Whether staying for a few days or a few weeks, I highly recommend this penthouse to anyone looking for a relaxing and convenient getaway. P.S - The private terrace adjacent to the living room just opens up the whole space and is really great for sitting down with your morning cup of joe :)

This was our first time in Puducherry and Dess went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and at home. Firstly, he has designed his space very thoughtfully, making sure it has all the required amenities. Secondly, he helped us with whatever requirements we had. Very approachable and kind person. It’s super important to have a good host apart from a nice property and this one was 10/10.

Merin is no doubt a great host. The place is a bit isolated amidst the Auroville jungle, but it is pretty secure and peaceful. His responsiveness was quick, and he has a great family—accommodative and cheerful. I would love to see an option for home-cooked food, though Swiggy and Zomato were handy as required, so there’s not much to complain about. We traveled in our EV, and the slow charging facility helped us counter any concerns about long trips. Overall, the experience was nice and beautiful, without any disruption. I would rate the overall experience a 10/10

The location is incredibly convenient, situated between Pondicherry and Auroville, with all the main cafes nearby. I didn't get lost here, thanks to Shivaani, who provided us with excellent guidance on what to do in the area. The accommodations were exactly as described clean and comfortable!

Very responsive and helpful host. Clean home which met our needs more than adequately. Due to our limited time and hectic schedule we could not spend time with the host family. We will definitely return in the cooler months and spend more time and explore the lovely city. Thank you guys!!

If you’re looking for a beautiful getaway, away from the hustle, then this a perfect place! A secluded, serene and beautiful property! Wake up to beautiful bird calls and the rustle of leaves in the wind! The cottage and amenities are as promised. A well designed cottage with beautiful aesthetics! For me personally, the patio was incredible! The swimming pool is a minute away, amidst a beautiful setting! Special thanks to Dushar (caretaker). Jolly good fellow always greets you with a smile and sorts out pretty much everything you need! A big heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Ms. Bidisha for making our trip so memorable! As a wonderful host, she went out of her way to help us with all our requests and ensured our time at the property was perfect!

The property is located right in the heart of White Town, making it super convenient to explore all the charming cafes, beaches, and shops nearby. Dheepa's home is centrally located and very easy to access. My family and I had a pleasant stay here. The property was exactly as described in the listing and matched the photos. The neighborhood was nice, and most major tourist attractions were within walking distance. It's also just a short walk—around 500 meters or less—to the beach and the vibrant French town. The house was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Dheepa was friendly and always available to offer support.

The place itself is beautiful and squeaky clean. They have a beautiful terrace and the location is at a walkable distance to all the amenities that you’re going to be needing for your trip, scooty on rent, restaurant, beer shops etc are all at a walkable distance. The owner also is proactive in solving the problems that were there like the pedestal fan in the outside sitting area was not working, and i told it to the owner, they responded within minutes and an electrician came within an hour of the complaint. The only minute disappointment which i had was with the parking arrangements, the car has to be parked on the streets while it is safe and I have no complaints except for the excessive amount of bird goo that plagued my car. Parking being the only concern the place is otherwise great and does not disappoint in any ways whatsoever.

We stayed at the Blue Whale Apartment for two days, and it was unforgettable! The location was fantastic—right near White Town and close to Promenade Beach. My son picked it, and he was thrilled, especially with the bunk bed crafted with net and sea shells. It was his first time sleeping on such a bed, and he couldn’t stop smiling! The apartment’s ocean theme was stunning. Daniela, our host, is so talented—every room had a unique vibe, from the boat-made dining table to the amazing hanging bed. Daniela’s poem on the wall was such a thoughtful touch, and her warm welcome made us feel at home. Her quick responses to all our questions were much appreciated. We cooked tea and snacks, but the ambiance felt like a dream house. The artifacts in every corner were so pure and the hanging basket for deliveries were a delight. The only downside is the third floor with no lift. Still, it was worth it—every detail was picture-perfect. We left with lifelong memories and can’t wait to visit again.🥰

I came to pondy for newyear with my friends and we chose utkalika for our stay.Everything was just perfect starting from the check in until we checked out.The host even let us check out a little bit late cuz we had our train in the evening. The host was very understanding and helpful. We would confidently recommend utkalika for anyone looking for a peaceful stay ❤️
