Welcome to Black Bear Cabin. Overlooking the beautiful Daniel Boone National Forest and very close to Cave Run Lake and many popular hiking trails This is our families home away from home. We love this spacious and peaceful getaway and hope you do as well. This Cabin is a Rustic 3 Bedroom w/ Loft Area. It has 2 full bathrooms. Our kitchen is fully equipped for cooking meals. On the deck is a relaxing hot tub, fire pit, and grill. In the yard is another firepit with adirondack chairs.

A wooden deck features a circular table with four black mesh chairs, providing a space for dining or relaxation. A charcoal grill is situated nearby, with a gravel area surrounding the deck that enhances accessibility.

Large loop around drive perfect for boaters! Only 7 miles from Clay Lick boat ramp and less than 3 miles from Long Bow Marina.

We loved it there absolutely surrounded by nature l, the previous people who had stayed didn’t care for some of the damage they had done but we made sure the host knew and cleaned all of the towels we used and swept and mopped the floors before we left. Cozy place to stay! Coffee house is amazing downstairs if you are staying during week days, they are closed on weekends.

Great place to stay, quiet neighborhood and very easy to access. Right off a main road with a scenic drive to the cabin. We didn’t realize the parking was along the road and you take stairs to access the cabin. Luckily that was not an issue for us. We appreciated the efforts done with lights and rubber mats on the stairs for better grip. Lots of linens and blankets to use and AC units in each room work great. Friendly neighborhood dog that we enjoyed coffee with.

The home is beautifully decorated with warm, thoughtful touches that make it feel both cozy and stylish. It was spotless, quiet, and incredibly comfortable—ideal for a relaxing getaway. One of the best features is the great outdoor space—perfect for morning coffee, reading, or just soaking in the peaceful surroundings. The cottage is conveniently located right next to the entrance of Cave Run Lake, making it perfect for nature lovers, boaters, and hikers. It’s also just a short drive to the Red River Gorge, so there’s no shortage of adventure nearby. Crystal was a fantastic host—welcoming, responsive, and clearly passionate about making her guests feel at home. I highly recommend this sweet little retreat to anyone looking for a restful and memorable stay in the Salt Lick area.
