Alex's mum and dad, Babu and Jansi will look after you with every consideration. The breakfast Jansi makes is magnificent! Healthy, home-cooked Keralan food, different every day. The apartment is immaculately maintained, clean and quiet. It even has a small porch over-looking the waterways. Your kitchen and open area upstairs is substantial, with cooking facilities, fridge, washing machine and large terrace. You can be entirely self-sufficient or walk about 10 minutes to local restaurants. Babu is a wealth of knowledge and even helped me look for an apartment, which was the main point of my stay. I cannot recommend this stay more highly. Everything is done so well. Thank you.

It was a very pleasant experience to stay at Jack´s guesthouse. It has a very international style, yet with many traditional Indian details and also representing the big existing religions, so that everyone feels at home. The rooms have ac and a western style bathroom. They are equipped with a tv, which has netflix etc. for some entertainment. Also there is a big community room with tv, a dining room and a kitchen, where you can cook for yourself or being cooked for, depending on the agreements. The whole house is kept neat and clean, and there is a washing machine available. On top outside you can find a meditation and yoga platform and another little outdoor kitchen to get together and prepare snacks. The staff is super polite and always at your service to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They would also take you on trips, if wanted, e.g. going to watch elephants nearby. If you like, you can book an ayurvedic treatment to make yourself healthy and relaxed.

I was there for a month. Idyllic place in a quiet, rural area, a 45 second walk to the beach, with a porch from which you can hear the sound of waves crashing. Hot shower and cool A/C. The best service I’ve ever had at an Airbnb by Jeffin, who happily made me meals and brought me tea throughout the day. Challenges as a digital nomad: the wifi is usually fast, but it goes down several times a day, and the cellular data is usually only 1 or 2 bars from the room. Power outages are at least once a day. There is a power backup, but it requires turning the generator on (which was done). The room only has a narrow window. I wished that there was a screen on the window so that I could turn the A/C off at night and open the window without bugs coming in. I hope that this place gets more reliable internet by upgrading to fiber and getting a power inverter, and a mobile signal booster. Finally, it states that there is a beach view. This is not true. But overall, I was happy and productive.

I spent a day at Varughese's homestay and thoroughly enjoyed it. The host was helpful and responsive to my needs throughout. The homestay is well maintained, the bedroom was warm and comfy, and bathroom was squeaky-clean. I heartily recommend Varughese's homestay to Airbnb users.

Book the property with no second thought. The best place where you want to spend your weekend with family or friends away from the city hustle. Things to do: Reach the property around late afternoon. Enjoy the sunset and have a great time with all the activities. Try out kayaking and canoeing the next morning, the host will suggest the best places and he will take care of everything. The host, Shiju is super friendly and took good care right from reaching out to the property and till the checkout.

This is an amazing property in one of the best loction. To top it all, Mrs. Leni prepared amazing meals for us. I'm definetly visiting this place again.

Wow! I love this place! Roy is an absolute mega-host, the room was big enough for yoga and exercise, the WiFi was fast and stable enough for me to work, and Roy, Raji, and the whole host family welcomed us with open hearts. I also appreciated the outdoor shower (great for washing sand off my feet) and the great times we spent with Roy, his family, and neighbors, playing music, dancing, and eating delicious home-cooked food. It’s felt like the perfect home away from home, right near the beach!!!! 🏝️

Mr Mohammad is a great host. A must visit, Nearby Lulu Mall. He will assist you with everything you need and takes care of whatever the guest needs. I had a really comfortable stay. Recommending it to all who visit Kochi.

Nice flat for daily rental

The place was really nice. The host was even nicer, helping us with whatever we needed and always available at all times. Very good place to stay for short visits.

Great place to stay when in Cochin

We were 6 adults and 3 kids travelling. The home was beautiful and spacious with 4 bedrooms and the overall experience being made even better by a really good host. From being always quick to respond and available on call since the booking was made, Praveen (and his friend Naijo) have been excellent hosts by helping us personally find the location (where Naijo guided us in front on his scooter) and having made sure the place was clean, tidy and welcoming. The home was beside a lake which provided for a very relaxing view if you're the kind who enjoys taking some time to sit and take in the atmosphere. While we expected the water body nearby to result in a ton of mosquitoes, surprisingly, we had no mosquito problem whatsoever. The Air Conditioners (only available in the 2 rooms upstairs) were fully functional and the Kitchen was equipped with basic utensils along with a gas and stove - suffice to say we were only too happy to make tea for ourselves. :) There was high speed (didn't really measure it, but was fast all the same) Wifi connectivity available at the home. The location is there on google maps under the name "River point Luxury Inn", which lets Swiggy executives easily find the place to deliver food without having any back and forth for directions over phone calls. There were shops and hotels within a 10 minute walk radius as well although the path that leads to the highway (where the aforementioned services are) is a bit narrow and dark if you're taking a stroll at night. A special thanks to Praveen for being available on call at 5.30AM in the morning when we ran out of water, and helped us out in terms of locating the motor switch and letting us know it would take around 5-10 minutes for the water to start coming via the pipes. A few things that are not explicitly shown or mentioned on the listing page are: 1. From the main highway, once you turn into the smaller lane which actually gets you to the location, there are quite a few twists and turns that might seem a bit confusing if it is your first time trying to find the place. 2. There are a few other homes just in front and beside this home and only the part of the lake is wide and plain. From the pictures, I had an impression that the home had the lake and plain fields all around it, but it was not so. However, this didn't pose any problems at all during our stay. 3. Since the airport is quite near, you can see planes taking off and landing quite close above your head every once in a while. While all of us including the kids had a great time staring and shouting at them, it means that the aeroplane sounds can be heard frequently (every 15-30 minutes during our stay) It was a great stay, value for money and will definitely book again if the need comes where we have to stay near the Cochin airport with a party of 5 or more. :)

At the ILLIKKALAM Lakeside Cottages, staff is very helpful, service quick, and food fresh and tasty and served with smile. A great place for family get together. View from the lake side rooms is stunning. Great experience if you looking at unwinding amidst nature. The management team is also accommodative of genuine requests where possible. We had a family emergency and hence had to reschedule the trip by one day. Mrs. Susan Salim accommodated our requests. We thank the management for their understanding. Overall, we had a very nice family time at ILLIKKALAM Lakeside Cottages. Would love to come back. Best wishes/ Vatsa

Clean and nice place well kept with all amenities. Kochi airport is not too far. Very good facility. We had all the amenities that we needed. The host was always at hand and willing.

Had a pleasant stay with my family here. It felt right at home .We didn’t face any issues . The location is very good , right in the city , but at the same time inside so that it’s peaceful and quiet .. if you have your own car , then this place will be a good location.

A very peaceful and beautiful surrounding with lush green garden. 200 mtrs walk through to Marari beach. Cosy homestay with traditional aesthetics. Jiby and Aby has been great hosts- super responsive, helpful to search for local tourists attractions and friendly natured. Thank you for the amazing stay!

Beyond question, Benny's place was one of the finest and most rewarding of my well-over-one-hundred Airbnb experiences in different countries. Everything was as advertised in the listing and Benny was wonderfully communicative, even though we never had the pleasure of meeting. Mr. Babu, the on sight caretaker, was exceptionally gracious and kind in being sure that my needs and interests were met. He was absolutely available and attentive to my needs and interests. I loved the yard! Sitting there daily was one of the greatest pleasures during my six-day sojourn. It was a delightful and memorable experience. Without hesitation I offer Benny's place my highest recommendation. I certainly feel that I got what I paid for. I would be pleased to book another stay there sometime down the road.
