An unobstructed view of nature at the upper edge of the village of Gersfeld OT Sandberg on a south slope at about 600 m above sea level invites you to linger. Whether spring, summer, fall or winter, it can accommodate up to 8 discerning guests.

Our apartment at the Seerosenteich is characterized by the walking distance to the Hünfeld city center with good infrastructure. These include numerous shopping opportunities. The immediate proximity to the Hünfeld leisure facilities such as the Haselsee, the outdoor pool, the Bürgerpark, the tennis courts as well as the indoor pool, etc. make your stay a relaxing one. The historic baroque town of Fulda, as well as the Hessian bowling game and the Hochrhön are worth exploring at a distance of 10-30 km.

Fantastic sunrises, views, nature, forest

In the middle of the Rhön Biosphere Reserve, you will find the newly renovated vacation home, also known as “Hühnerhuis” in family circles. Here you can experience unique sunrises. If you want to enjoy absolute peace, this is the place to be! Hiking trails, bike trails, and various attractions are very close. Among other things, alpaca hikes are possible directly in the village. Just ask us about excursion destinations and we will be happy to help you. Pets are not allowed.

The ground floor apartment is located in a quiet residential area in the Konrad-Zuse city of Hünfeld. It is 500 m to an outdoor swimming pool and 400 m to the Haselsee recreational park. The city center of Hünfeld with its cafés, shopping and restaurants can be reached through the Bürgerpark in approx. 15-minute walk. The nearby Rhön with its biosphere reserve as well as the ski and toboggan arena on the Wasserkuppe are about 35 minutes. Fulda is about 15 minutes by car.

Network cables in all rooms, very good Wi-Fi on each floor, desks in each room and a large attic also allow very good remote working.

The heart of the apartment is the large, light-flooded living room with a large kitchen, wood-burning stove and dining area. Our aim is to welcome guests with a dog as well as the ones without into a friendly, cosy atmosphere. The appartment is at the edge of Oberelsbach - ideally for hikes. Basic shopping is possible and there is a nice café, a gas station and a pharmacy. Hiking and Cycling trails start directly from the house. But also there are bus lines which opperate in different directions as well as right into the heart of the hiking area.
