Go exploring in WWII bunkers at the abandoned Nes fort, or check out petroglyphs within walking distance from the cabin. Nice little beaches, and the possibility of swimming, free diving and paddling (if you have your own kayak with you). New cottage from 2014 just 10 km from Evenes Airport. The cabin is located halfway (260 km each way) between Tromsø and Å on the mainland of Lofoten. The cottage has a simple and good standard with most amenities one expects to find in a regular home. The cottage has lovely views towards Tjeldsundet in the north and has midnight sun from late May to mid July. In the dark part of the year there are good conditions for admiring the Northern Lights.

The Blue House - Blokken

A genuine and cozy house from 1900 with an amazing atmosphere and view. The Blue House is an optimal base for hiking, skiing, kayaking, snowshoe trekking and mountaineering. Fishing in the lakes or in the sea is right outside the door. Maps, first aid kit are available free of charge. The house is just renovated, and painted in colors chosen by the “blue city” artist, Bjørn Elvenes. Charger for electric cars is available for an extra fee.

The cabin is located in the village of Nes on Hamarøy, 5 km from Skutvik. The cabin is located on the outskirts of the village and has a landlord as the closest neighbor.
