We felt like home all the time! The staff was extraordinarily friendly! We never had so many nice conversations since travelling through countries. The experiences we made were amazing. The Karungi-Camp Team will fulfill all your dreams. We had the chance to go to an international wedding, join a soccer match, hike though the area, get to know alot of the village and be a part of it. Thank you so much! Lisa & Sebastian P.S.: The shower was the best shower in Uganda :)

Huge crush on this place where we felt right at home for three days! Ideal for chilling and enjoying the lake and its activities (tree climbing, boat ride, paddle) We really liked the fact that it was lost in the middle of nowhere but actually, as mentioned in the listing, plan something to eat because everything is there to cook on site. Possibility on Monday and Thursday to send a boat to the market on another island to find some vegetables... Kakuru, the neighbor is very kind and helpful with all the logistics (welcome on arrival, calling boats to move, walk on the hills). Really, thank you again Kakuru☺️ Be careful, however, of people who are particular about cleanliness. It's not dirty at all but it's a country house so there are spiders and little critters. There's also no hot water but it didn't really bother us because we heated the water

This place is called Kirangara, direct on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi. It can be accessed by foot (30 minutes) from Kacwekano or by boat from Orutinda. Motorboat (10 minutes), Canoe 30 minutes from Orutinda market. It has simple accomodation, has 4 medium hats and one huge hat of 6 big rooms. Cooking is self but fire place will be provided and cooking charcoal. Bed sheets and covers are provided on request, canoe services, swimming, hill walk is all possible. camping with own tent also possible.

Our Campsite is Right next to Bwindi Forest National Park. Monkeys like Black and White Colobus and Red tails will greet you from the tree tops every morning. Also baboons are frequent visitors on the camping ground. So please do not leave food in your tent! If you are a birder you will be pleased to know that more than 120 species of birds have been spotted on the property. Our camping site have flushing toilets and hot water for shower. There is a bar/dining area and a kitchen with firewood.
