Malaika house

Miriam’s place is the serenity itself. Beautiful garden, comfortable bed(!), flexible and hospitable staff. Enjoyed chilling by the pool! Would return and recommend!
Mount Kilimanjaro can be seen majestically towering in the distance, its snow-capped peak contrasting against a clear blue sky. Lush greenery surrounds the view, framing the mountain in a serene natural landscape.

Kili 1

PhillipRating, 5 stars14 months ago
When I am in Moshi, I look forward to the peace and community and comfort here. It’s walkable to downtown and you can feel Kili peering down at you. Staff is responsive and supportive. Stay here!…unless I want to book a room. 😊

Le parlour

We loved staying here! The accommodations are comfortable, peaceful and great for the price! The food is delicious and you’ll be stuffed full the entire time! I’ve been traveling and living around Tanzania for almost 8 years. I can say this is some of the best home cooked food I’ve ever had! If you are needing to stay near the airport, this is the best option!
A shaded outdoor seating area features a thatched roof and a circular table draped with a red tablecloth. Surrounding the table are several vertical chairs, with a backdrop of lush greenery and tropical plants. A water tank is situated nearby, enhancing the space's practicality.

Mama Simba Homebase Smoke 7

JaneRating, 5 stars30 months ago
My second stay at Mama Simba’s. It is like a homestay. So friendly and helpful. Mama Simba is an engaging and interesting woman, and very involved with her community. I like being in Rau, a little outside of Moshi town.
Two individuals are standing together outdoors, both in traditional attire. One person wears a graduation gown with green accents, while the other is dressed in a colorful patterned outfit. Lush greenery and trees are visible in the background, suggesting a serene environment.

Sophie's Moshi Homestay

Sophie's place was great. It was peaceful and quiet, yet very convenient to the busy town of Moshi. She and her family were wonderful, we felt right at home. The meals were very good. I would definitely stay there again.

Catherine's Home near Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO)

JazminRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Catherine went above and beyond! We stayed for a night during our flight layover. She picked us up and dropped us off from the airport. She allowed us to stayed later than regular check-out until time for our flight. She even taught how to cook a local dish and gave me some spice to take home and try cooking it! I would absolutely recommend staying here!

Tukutane Homestay - Marangu room

SophieRating, 5 stars3 months ago
I arrived just after the Kilimanjaro Marathon and Samson was kind enough to allow me to join him and his friends at the afterparty which was really an amazing experience of live music. Though I didn't go to the Materuni Waterfalls on his tour in the end, he did facilitate a guide for me and the coffee tour was a fantastic experience too. On the last day he took me on a bike tour of Rau forest where I was able to see several monkeys including blue monkeys, hear the calls of baboons and get a clear view of Kilimanjaro. If you want to climb Kilimanjaro for any length of time, I recommend booking on a group tour well in advance if you want something affordable. For the time I had of 2 days in Moshi, the activities were perfect.
A vibrant pink flower stands out against a backdrop of lush green leaves. The glossy foliage provides a rich contrast, while the flower's dark center draws the eye, creating a harmonious natural setting.

My experience at Alfred's house was incredibly unforgettable. The room is exactly as it appears in the photos: spacious, clean and comfortable. The apartment is located in a quiet and welcoming family complex with a wonderful garden. Alfred has a great ability to make you feel at home and is super available for any need or help. I will definitely come back again, Asante sana🙏
