Vacation rentals with lake access in Keweenaw County

I could go on and on and on about this experience but I only have 1000 characters! Let me start with the place - the cottage was modern, charming, warm and in a great location. Everything in it was top notch - linens, bedding and especially the kitchen contents. Copper Harbor is a special place. If you hike, mountain bike or paddle you will be in heaven. Everything in The town is walkable. Just so charming! Jenny was an exceptional host. The care and consideration she gave us was over the top - in the best way! She was so excited to give us hiking, kayaking, shopping and eating recommendations. And I understand why - everything we did based on her suggestions was amazing! This was truly a memorable experience and we will definitely be checking in with Jenny again!

A great place to stay and centrally located. Great place for a break... but close enough to all that the Keweenaw has to offer.

The beds are comfortable and the shower was great. The kitchen was well equipped and the location was ideal for the areas we wanted to travel to for day trips. I enjoyed having coffee (appreciate the French press option) on the enclosed front porch. Will book a stay here on my next trip to the keweenaw.

This stay was everything we could have hoped for in an AIRBNB. The home is attractive and well appointed, with all the essentials you could possibly need. It’s sparkly clean. It has a wonderful view from every direction. The guide for guests made it so easy to use the mechanicals; and the host is very responsive. Make sure to walk the beach every day. We did! So amazing!!

So many good things to say… Location was amazing, near Mt. Bohemia and surrounded by Michigan’s most dynamic landscapes. For the host, Karin had very clear instructions and quickly responded to any questions/chats. Karin and her co-hosts could teach masterclasses on running AirBnbs. We brought everything with us that we could think of (air fryer, rice steamer, nonstick pan, disposable coffee cups, etc.) and she already had every item ready for use. We took notes for updates on our home because this place was amazing. A summertime rental would probably be insane. You could tell the place had the outdoor area going on but we were there mid-February. Kudos to this place and its management!

We loved this property. We walked on the beach in the mornings and watched the sunrise. After spending the day exploring the area we looked forward to coming home to a very private, peaceful, relaxing and beautiful home. This is one of the nicest places we have stayed. We had a fire in the evenings and listened to the waves roll in and one night we sat by the fire and watched the northern lights. It was amazing. The people that rent this property are very kind, responsive and proactive. They have put a lot of thought into provide everything you could possibly need. We are already talking about coming back. The best thing about it was being right on Lake Superior. Sitting on the deck and just enjoying the view of the lake was wonderful.

I highly recommend this place through Dean. Check in was very straight forward and the house was much larger than expected. Always warm and cozy! The view of the lake and mountain are absolutely breathtaking. Kitchen had all the necessary equipment for a couple nights of home cooked meals! There were a few items we needed and there was a small convenience store very close which worked out great. This house and the quick responses from dean were great!

We loved the house. We really wanted to be right on Lake Superior and this house was perfect. We also loved that it had a main floor master for the grandparents, 2 additional bedrooms for the parents and one big room with multiple beds for the kids to hang out in. Everyone had their space when they needed it, but large living area for us all to hang out in together.

I have only absolutely wonderful things to say about our stay here! The location, on the shore of Lake superior, near Mt Bohemia but also near to other attractions was fantastic. The house itself is lovely as is the sauna house. I have never stayed in an airbnb so well appointed. The decor was lovely, nice bedding, games, books, etc. The kitchen was better stocked with pans etc than my own. It was perfect for many lovely family meals. We had an incredible stay! I hope we will come back many times in the future! Thank you!

Wonderful place with Lake Superior access that feels secluded but is only a few mins to town. Was clean and comfortable, would definitely stay again!

Barry and Carol are incredible hosts. The place is exactly what my dad and I needed for our yearly trip to the UP. We got a flat tire and Barry and Carol were beyond helpful. I thought it was going to ruin our trip but turned into a 30 min drive with a spare, and one of the best Pasties I’ve had which was a win. Thanks again.

Awesome place! Great blend of indoor and outdoor spaces for the family to gather. Steps from the beach, perfect for rock hunting day or night. Just a few minute drive from the town of Calumet. I would definitely stay here on my next trip to the U.P.

The Hosts were very proactive and caring and this attitude of care was evident in both the amentities of the property and the cleanliness of the property. Everything was very nice and clean. Philip is an extremely friendly, kind and accommodating host. Everything was well communicated which made our arrival and check in stress free. We had a minor issue during our stay that was no fault of Philip’s and the issue was completely unexpected. Immediately upon notifying Philip he went above and beyond to correct the issue and accommodate us in any way possible to keep it from affecting our stay. We were so pleasantly surprised at his response and desire to help. Truly amazing and unheard of customer service in this day and age. I honestly can’t say enough good things about him! You can’t ask for a better host or a more lovely property. Everything was clean and comfortable. The setting is peaceful, cozy, and private. And the cabin and surrounding area is lovely and truly a little piece of heaven. Thank you, Philip, for a lovely weekend at North Shore Cottages. Hope to see you again soon.
