Vacation rentals in Kato District

Komaba Lodge is truly a unique and charming cabin. It felt like an attraction in itself from the moment we arrived. While I came across some reviews mentioning that it felt small, I honestly feel otherwise. With four bedrooms and a spacious living and dining area, it comfortably accommodated our group of 6. The covered courtyard was a lovely spot for a peaceful morning coffee. The kitchen is excellent—well-equipped and easy to use. We had everything we needed to prepare our dinner without any hassle. The entire cabin is clean. The white linens were crisp and clean, and the muslin material was incredibly comfortable, we all slept so well. For the benefit of other travelers, we think it’s more convenient to have a car when staying here, as it makes getting around much easier.

The host, Hosokawa, handled me very gently. They also accommodated my unreasonable check-in time. If you have a car, you can use this as a base to go anywhere. I'd love to stay again if I get the chance.

I loved the quiet and peaceful village atmosphere. It was well-maintained and clean, so there was no discomfort. The nearby bathhouse is cheap and the facilities are pretty good. It was a bit far from downtown Obihiro, but it was a good location to go to Daisetsuzan or the north.

We really enjoyed our stay. The home was very spacious and well organized. It had everything we needed to make meals at home too! We were able to walk into town easily from the home. Thank you for hosting us!

A gem in the small town of kamishihoro, especially for MUJI fan. Well decorated and stocked with all muji items. Nested at 1st floor during day time that has kitchen, living, dining, laundry, shower stall, and 2 half bathrooms (toilet). 2nd floor has 4 similar sized bedrooms. Beds are medium hard. Pillows are too low for me so I grabbed another one from the next bedroom. Large fridge (fyi bottom compartment is for produce). There’s a washing machine with hang drying rack. Many heaters installed in the house and water pressure was awesome. Strong and stable WiFi. A road station (Michi no eki) is right across from this house. A small supermarket and convenience store (seicomart) are also within walking/biking distance. Highly recommend the creamery Dream Dolce. Their soft serve is way better than a few nearby places. Takes about 35 mins drive to a big town Otofuke (there’s a large MUJI store!), and about 45 mins to obihiro.

There is nothing around, but you can have a special time and experience that is different from usual. The owner family also welcomes you warmly. The trailer house feels larger than you think, and the bed is large and you can sleep well I think the starry sky is beautiful on a clear day I think it will be a particularly exciting experience for children. My son said it was better than any resort hotel in Hokkaido Just in case, it is adjacent to a dairy farm, so I think it is better to avoid if you don't like the smell of cows or insects Our whole family loved it I would like to change the season and visit again Thank you for your hospitality
