There's nowhere else to go - 800 meters to Lake Pabra, and there's already Russia on the other side of the lake. You can see moose, wild boars, foxes, and border guards or you're all on your own. At night, with clear skies, the Milky Way gets so close that you feel like a part of it and can hear your own heart beats. Winters are snowy and cold-but the house is warm. The summers are hot and in central summer there are parmos. You're Kossal.

Luha farm barn is located in the pristine and clean Setomaa nature. A cozy and stylish cabin is perfect for recreational getaways or focused work. The house has electricity, a wide double, one single bed and a big twin couch for sleeping, chairs, a table, a mirror and a radiator for cooler weather. You can currently wash in the sauna and swim in the pond. Ventilated dry walk is located right next to the garden. It's a good idea to stay here for a visitor to Setomaa or Võru County or a hiker in the area. A toddler bed can be added.

We rented this apartment because it is close to the border between Estonia and Russia. It is only 12 km. The apartment is spacious and has a sauna. It is very quiet and surrounded by green Estonian forests. Our goal was to stay close to the border, but for those who love nature and want to visit Estonia it is a great place. The host is very kind and helpful.

Super cool place! The place was very clean and cozy. I stayed with two of my friends and we loved going on a boat ride. The place is ideal for 2 people as the bed is super comfortable, but the couch is not very well supported. Despite that we still really enjoyed our stay and feel we got an experience out of it.

During our stay, two things stood out with equal magnitude, the generosity of Andre (his friends, brother and family), and the beauty of the cottage/lake. If south eastern Estonia is on your list, visiting the area should be on the agenda without a doubt. We stayed there for a week and have not yet scratched the surface. There’s a lot to do there in terms of hiking, cycling and exploring the hidden gems, let alone the daily swims in the lake and enjoying the sauna. It’s possible to have both a calm, relaxing time in the cottage, and a wonderful time experiencing the beauty of the region and the kindness of its people. We started the journey knowing that we would be happy to treat ourselves with this part of Estonia which we hadn’t visited before and ended up knowing that we will revisit Rõuge. Thanks Andre for making our visit special and see you again soon.

We had a beautiful time here - just not long enough! The smoke sauna was an incredible experience and the sauna pond the perfect place to cool off. The view from the shower is exquisite and being immersed in nature very refreshing. Kristi is an excellent host and we would love to return some day.
