Vacation rentals with lake access in Kainuu

Our holiday in Lehtikerp was idyllic and we had a great time. It's like a hidden gem. The house, sauna building, and surrounding milieu were all unique, which brought a fabulous ambiance. Everything worked well, there was plenty of room for a larger group, and Kari was a great host. We can recommend Lehtikerppu to others in need of the Kainuu region as well. You won't go into this place with love!

Sanni’s place made us feel at home but a far from everyone at the same time. We wish we could’ve stayed longer! The place matched the description for sure but being there made us feel serene, safe and natural. It’s the place you’ve been longing for; being back home with someone you love, happy to see them be back, while being eager to lay in the couch after relaxing together in a nice place. The sauna, the lake, the cottage, it was unforgettable. Thanks for having us!

We spent over a week at Andre's place and it's a true winter paradise! House is super cozy and warm. Kitchen has everything you may need. Beach sauna and hot tub were a heaven after a cold, snowy day outside. We also were very lucky to see the most bright, beautiful and strong aurora just above the house, that made our stay very special. Andre was very helpful and responsive ❤️

We had an incredible stay at Esko’s place! The location is absolutely stunning, right by the lake, offering breathtaking views and the perfect setting for relaxation. Esko recommended fishing, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience for us. The surroundings are incredibly quiet, providing the most peaceful nights we’ve ever had—ideal for a good night’s sleep. The house itself is cozy and felt just like home. When we arrived, the house was already warm and welcoming, which we deeply appreciated. The location is also very convenient, with close proximity to larger cities like Rovaniemi, Oulu, and Kajaani. It’s also near ski resorts. Having sauna is amazing A short drive away, the town of Puolanka offers everything you might need. Additionally, there’s excellent connectivity in the area, so we had no issues accessing mobile internet during our stay. We highly recommend Esko’s place for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat. Very nice and peaceful place. Communication with hosts went smoothly. Recommended. The circulating air cook has not been cleaned from an earlier guest, but it was overcome when we washed it ourselves before using it.

Simple yet cosy cottage. During our holiday we felt like at home! If you want to get away from everyday things and spend a couple of refreshing days in the middle of Finland, this is the place to go!

A perfect little break in an amazing setting, all comfort and quiet. Thank you for the last minute acceptance everything was perfect, the terrace that does not appear in the photos gives this cute cabin even more charm!

We spent a nice couple of days at the cottage. Swim, sauna, and moved nearby. The cottage was close to the driveway, but the sounds of traffic didn't bother you. The neighboring cottage is also very close and the residents were there, but it wasn't a disturbance in any way. Unfortunately, the dock wasn't in place, which made it difficult to carry water to the sauna and swim, but it didn't make it impossible. The sleeping loft mattresses could use a revamp.

Extremely clean and comfortable home. It was also very pleasant that Ella quickly gave an answer to questions asked in advance. Recommend!

Communication was very smooth and helpful. The half of the best cottage worked very comfortably as a five-person stay.

The stay was clean and as described. You could comfortably get some privacy to nature. We would have loved to stay longer!
