Beachfront vacation rentals in Jungle Beach

Stella Beach House was the perfect getaway for my family and me. The location is absolutely stunning, with an array of excellent restaurants nearby. The house itself was impeccably clean, and we thoroughly enjoyed the amazing pool. From the very beginning to the end of our stay, Amit, Chaminda, and their team were incredibly helpful with everything we needed. They prepared delicious meals for us almost every day, which truly enhanced our experience. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend Stella Beach Villas to anyone planning a vacation in Sri Lanka. It's a wonderful destination for everyone looking to relax and enjoy a beautiful getaway.

The place was lovely, right on the river front and absolutely peaceful. Its also very close to the beach and we would definitely recommend the place. Somehow the tuktuk price around the area were pretty outrageous, so if you have a rented or owned vehicle, it’ll make things a lot easier but that’s not on the host, they were absolutely amazing.

The stay was great all around – the place was clean, cozy and exactly as described. I would especially like to highlight the host: incredibly friendly, helpful and always available. You felt immediately welcome. I highly recommend this place and the host. Thanks for the great time!

We spent a whole month in this house and were delighted! Spacious, cozy, with a lovely chill area by the river where you can relax and enjoy nature. I especially liked the rooftop – the perfect place to do yoga. The kitchen is fully equipped, so it was convenient to cook. The beds in the bedrooms are comfortable, slept great. The beach is only a 5-7 minute walk and the surf spot in Weligama is about 25 minutes away. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we are grateful to the hosts for their hospitality!

The beach hut is a wonderful place to stay in a beautiful green location. The hut is basic but has everything you need, just a step away from the beach. The hosts are very helpful, and their restaurant across the street is definitely worth a visit. This place is highly recommended!

The place is great. bed is comfortable, kitchen well equipped and very well located. a few minutes walk to the main beach and 15 minutes to Secret Beach. Prabodi is incredibly kind and helpful, and very responsive. I would definitely stay here again.

Shamil was responsive and helpful. We were in a bit of situation to find last minute accommodation. Shamil was helpful to enable the check in at 10pm. This was a huge relief for us. A great host!

Wonderful spacious place with fresh renovation and mesmerizing ocean view. Very easy to to contact your host and staff. Lots of places around, 1 minute to the ocean. There is a minimum set of detergents - shower gels and shampoos. Clean enough, but the kitchen is starting to feel a little musty. For this season, it can look a little expensive and I want to expect more details at this price category - slippers, bathrobes, toothbrushes, more towels, shaving accessories, but these are more points for improvement, still this is an apartment, not a hotel. 11/10 :)

Loved the villa! Right on the beach. Spacious. Loved the simple, elegant interiors, and the muted lighting. We all had a great time in the pool by the beach. The speaker is awesome. Jaan was always prompt in responding. And they proactively informed us that we could check out late as they had no booking on that day - thank you Jaan. The local caretaker Gayan, who lives nearby, comes every day to clean the pool and was helpful. He also drives a tuktuk himself. He came to check on us a few times despite his son being unwell - thank you Gayan. There is a supermarket at a walking distance and a restaurant (called A2). The main town, restaurants, touristy shops are less than 3 kms away and tuktuks are very easily available for hire (the pickme app worked like a charm). We stayed during the off season, so it is quite likely that during the peak season, there are beachfront restaurants and bars operational at a walking distance from the villa.

We- my husband and I and our two kids (2 and 11 years old) had an amazing time at Eranga's place. The small swimming pool with a deeper space for the grown-ups to stand in was perfect for the little one and to cool of, the view to the ocean through the tropical surrounding was so beautiful and Eranga was one of the best hosts we ever had on airbnb. He was so friendly and always available, arranged for us to see baby turtles released into the ocean, we always had drinking water and other supplies in the kitchen.The restaurants around have delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner, so there is nothing you could miss. Highly recommend this place!

Sophie is a wonderful host—friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay. The villa exceeded our expectations; it’s even better than the photos! The location is perfect for a beach holiday, just a short ride from Unawatuna where you’ll find great restaurants and bars. While getting an Uber or cab can occasionally be tricky, tuk-tuks are always readily available and add to the local charm. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway.

The house, the garden simply fantastic! The kitchen is a little small, but everything you need is there. The "gardener " cooked something for us in the evening, super delicious. The two guard dogs😂, two dear decent cuddles, welcomed us joyfully every day, our children as well as we were really happy with the two.

We had a fantastic stay at the villa. Clemence was very responsive, and the two helpers were always available and cooked excellent meals for us. The house was a dream - beautifully designed with great attention to detail which sets it apart from other properties in the area. It’s spacious, well-equipped and everything was in great condition. The location is also great, a short walk from the sea. A very comfortable and well-run place - we’re already looking forward to returning to this or another property owned by Clemens

We have just got home after our trip to the Tropical Beach House in Hikkaduwa. What a totally lovely time away. Great communication with Gavin prior to the visit and out in touch with Darmith (house keeper) and taxi transport for arrival. We arrived at 2am to be met by Darmith and Saji (security) and felt at home straight away. Darmith had collected fridge essentials before we arrived so we were set up for the following morning. The house and gardens are lovely, the sound of the ocean 24/7 is just perfect and the house was spotlessly clean with good facilities. Sangrita helped to provide us with Sri Lankan breakfast foods, loved the Dahl curry and the hoppers but also gave us an awesome Brit breakfast of eggs and bacon! Chandra was on hand at night to cook a bbq which was tasty and varied. We used Tuk tuks to get out and about during our stay which were easy to find. Any issues we had were resolved quickly. Lots of local bars and eateries along the beach or further into Hikkaduwa.

Sahan’s beautiful airbnb is a little gem in Weligama. I would 100% recommend. He greeted us at check in and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The place itself and the pool especially are absolutely gorgeous! The perfect location for a little retreat. Thanks Sahan!

Lovely stay at the Blues for five of us attending a nearby wedding. Spacious grounds with colourful bird life, lizards and monkeys swinging from the trees. Lovely pool, could have spent the week lazing on the sunbeds. The two ladies at the house were always discreet, helpful and even prepared a lovely Sri Lankan curry on our late arrival due to the plane being diverted. They even cleaned the bbq for us. The house was clean, very spacious and steeped in Colonial history. As for Janaka, I can’t praise him enough. He went over and above to help and support every thing we did. He organised taxis, Tuk Tuks and even drove us into the neighbouring town for a bit of sightseeing and food and drinks purchasing on our first day. He spoke excellent English and would interpret for us if required. Lovely people, great property and a beautiful country. Will return in the future.

Someone says that the road is noisy, yes, there is a road, but guys, you didn't come here to sit at home, get up and explore, so that nothing wakes you up at night! Amazing place, location and people, thank you!

This was our first trip to Sri Lanka, and it was truly unforgettable! Nipuni was an incredibly kind and friendly host. She was always quick to reply and shared helpful recommendations. We were lucky to have a wonderful family dinner with Nipuni and her mom , they you cooked an amazing local dishes for us, and we had such a great time together. OMG we love her crepes!!! It was by far the best stay we’ve had in Sri Lanka — a whole floor of the house with a private entrance and terrace, clean and cozy rooms with air conditioning (a rare find in Sri Lanka ), comfy beds, a great kitchen, and a perfect quiet location away from the road noise. I highly recommend staying here, and I would love to come back again!

Amazing host and the space was extremely homely. It was picturesque and exactly as the photos advertised. The amenities were functional and the space in itself was well maintained and clean. It was an Eco-friendly abode. It was a calm and peaceful stay. A little away from the hustle and bustle but the distance to other restaurants and shops were pretty close by and walkable. Transportation was also easily available.

True local experience! Dinner was awesome, and the view from the top deck was a delight, plenty of birds,squirrels and monkeys to watch. Excellent value for money. Please note that the location on the map is incorrect - the property is further up and took me about 7-8 minutes to walk to the beach. Own transport would be ideal in this location - I had difficulties with PickMe but kindly the host would source me a tuktuk from the village :)
