We live in a small village near Chartres and its cathedral (8km), at 12km from Maintenon and its castle, and 1 hour from Paris. Walking/cycling trails and pilgrimage paths start literally 2 min from our place. It's quite and cosy here and the cabbin is completely independant from the main house. Moreover, we are located at 6km from the aquatic complex "Odysée", which is the biggest in Europe.

The sweetness of the Pool countryside

We had a wonderful 5 nights at Thibault house. The house is absolutely beautiful and the vintage decor is very homely. So much nicer than we expected from the photos. Plenty of everything you need like towels etc. There is nothing in the village itself but close to Chartres which has everything. The only negative was that we booked this accommodation based on it having a heated pool. Unfortunately the pump was broken so the pool was cold and we were not informed about this before we arrived. Also the TV was damaged making it hard to watch and also in a room which is not really accessible for all family members (up a thin staircase with beanbags). Cosy for children but no good for older adults. But the house is absolutely delightful and Thibault is very nice and easy to deal with.

We had a wonderful stay at Marie-Laure's We were greeted in a very friendly way, with honey, cherries and a big smile! The accommodation was particularly clean, the bed very comfortable. The large windows overlook the beautiful garden, for a more than pleasant wake-up. We would happily stay again to get some country air, and warmly recommend this accommodation :) Thanks for this beautiful time!
