We had a wonderful stay. Tamer was very responsive and helpful. The views are breathtaking and the houseboat is beautiful and spacious, even when sharing with guests in up to 3 other rooms. Caretaker Mahmoud is very welcoming and accommodating and the other staff was kind and made a beautiful breakfast in the morning. Great value for money and would recommend to anyone staying in Elephantine Island. The free boat pick up from the mainland at check-in is a great additional service.

A Home Away from Home – My Best Days in Egypt Hi this is prasad. I usually don’t write reviews, but this one deserves every word. During my stay in Aswan, I had the absolute best time at Saif Ahmed’s guest house. What made it truly unforgettable wasn’t just the comfort or the beautiful surroundings—it was Saif himself. An elderly man with a heart of gold, Saif took care of me like his own son. From the moment I arrived, he welcomed me with genuine warmth and kindness. He made sure I was comfortable, well-fed, and felt like part of his family. It’s rare to come across someone so pure-hearted and selfless. Every day at his guest house was filled with peace, comfort, and connection. Whether we were sharing tea, exchanging stories, or simply enjoying the quiet beauty of Aswan, I felt completely at home. Saif, thank you for giving me some of the best and most memorable days of my trip to Egypt. I’ll carry your kindness and hospitality with me always.

We had a super week-long stay at Hamo Fathy Nubian House; very comfortable, clean, relaxing, & fun. The property is just like the photos show. We liked the strong bedroom AC, ceiling fans, solid WiFi, smart TV, hot water, full kitchen, wash machine, comfy beds, excess fresh linens, and lighting options. No view, but just a few minutes walk from nice riverside restaurants with terraces (cold beer), water taxi to Aswan city (10 pound fare), groceries, ancient ruins, and swimming spots. No cars or motos on Elephantine; small sandy lanes criss-cross the island. Neighbors all smile and say 'welcome'. It feels like a different world/time. Best of all is Mohamed the host. Very responsive, kind, and helpful. Great English & well-traveled. No sales pressure - but can arrange anything you want at fair prices. He set-up our airport pick-up, private day tours, shared Abu Simbel van, felucca and motor boat rides. He's permanently in my phone as resource for all of Egypt. Highly recommended!

The room offered in Mango Guesthouse is really great, spacious, clean and cozy with a balcony overlooking the lush garden. They also offer the breakfast option for 150le which is really good and complete offered in the garden logo. It is a short distance from the port of the elephant island and therefore comfortable even if you have some luggage to carry.
