Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Jaffna

Buvaneswary is kind and very helpful. She picked us up from the station late at night and took us to the house. It is beautiful and spacious there, with a good kitchen and two bedrooms. There is a garden with fruit trees and lots of small wildlife, from very cute geckos to frogs and the occasional cat. It is out in the open, so ants do come in the house, big ones, and bugs and crickets, but nothing bad. We felt happy to share our home with the creatures. You really feel free and open there. We ended up staying here for six months as we got stuck here during COVID lockdown, and loved the extra space and lack of people. It is in a small fishing village about 5km outside Jaffna town. We met some lovey taxi drivers who took us into town. Be careful of getting a tuk tuk from town as many don’t understand where the house is, even if you show it on the map, and will complain and charge way more rupees when you get there. By using the same driver who knows where you stay, you can avoid a lot of tension. The busses are also a good option and can take you most places for cheap. There is a shop two minutes walk from the house which is owned by a wonderful couple who both speak English well. If you need anything more than the basics, there is a big shop in Jaffna town. The food in the town hotels (restaurants) is absolutely amazing! They may look a little run down but the chefs know what they are doing!

The house is located in a devine neighborhood near to a hindu temple. When you wake up and sit on the balcony you can feel the kovil vibes. The whole apartment is air-conditioned and equipped with new and high-quality furniture. The kitchen is big and has everything needed to cook dinner for a whole family. The scenery from the balcony is surreal. You are surrounded by palm, papaya, banana, and many other trees. There is also a rooftop floor that is large, but empty. So full potential of that rooftop floor has not been exploited, but it's still nice to hang out there after the sun has set. All-in-all great value for money.

Our stay at Sinduruban’s place was absolutely fantastic! The apartment was impeccably clean and well-equipped, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Sinduruban was incredibly helpful and responsive, always quick to answer. He was very flexible with even with the check out time. I would recommend Sinduruban’s place to anybody who is looking for a perfect place to stay in Jaffna.

Sulakshan is an incredible host! He welcomed me with lots of nice tips and suggestions to explore Jaffna area and they turned out to be superb! The place is 15 minutes away from Jaffna, which is one for those who want to be out of the city noise. Definitely recommend it!

Dom Buvaneswary jest czysty, przestronny, posiada Wi-fi, AC, lodówkę, niezbędne sprzęty w kuchni. Znajduje się trochę na uboczu Dżaffny, my akurat mieliśmy samochód, który gospodyni pozwoliła "wcisnąć" na niewielki podjazd. Łatwa i szybka komunikacja pozwoliła na bezproblemowe zameldowanie się.
